Rohrverschraubung.
Die Zeichnung veranschaulicht die Er findung in drei Ausführungsbeispielen: Fig. 1 zeigt eine Rohrverschraubung mit einem besonderen, lose in die Überwurf mutter eingesetzten Greifring einfachster Ausführung und einem Ansehlussstück, des sen, dem abzudichtenden Rohrende zuge kehrte Stirnfläche rechtwinklig zur Achse eines aus einheitlichem Werkstoff bestehen den Rohres verläuft; bei noch nicht angezo genem Greifring, und zwar zur Hälfte im Schnitt und zur Hälfte in Ansicht;
Fig. 2 zeigt die gleiche Ausführung der Rohrverschraubung, ebenfalls zur Hälfte im Schnitt und zur Hälfte in Ansicht, jedoch bei fest angezogenem Greifring, Fig. 3 zeigt die Verbindung eines Rohres mit besonderer Innenauskleidung und einem Anschlussstüek mit kegelig gestalteter Stirn fläche mit Hilfe eines innenseitig abgestuf ten Grreifringes, ebenfalls zur Hälfte im Schnitt und zur Hälfte in Ansicht und bei fest angezogenem Greifring;
Tube fitting. The invention relates to a solderless pipe screw connection in which the prepared pipe end is detected when the screw connection is tightened and is taken along in the axial direction.
The so-called flared screw connection, which is considered to be the simplest type of solderless pipe connections, has the disadvantage that it can be used with only relatively soft pipes with a small wall thickness. In the tightened state, it creates a pronounced surface seal in that the flared pipe end is clamped between the ring and the connection piece.
This known pipe screw connection can not be used for eccentric pipes, that is to say, sol chen with uneven wall thickness, or pipes whose inner and outer surfaces are not completely smooth.
According to the invention, the pipe end sealed against the connection piece is widened conically to such an extent that the diameter of the protruding inner edge does not differ significantly from the outer diameter of the non-widened pipe jacket part, and that the widened pipe end from the tightening doubt that engages behind it, directly or indirectly,
and its protruding inner edge is pressed gas- and liquid-tight against the end face of the connection piece by the screwing pressure.
A special, inflexible grip ring is expediently used, which gets stuck on the jacket of the expanded pipe part when the screw connection is tightened. In order for this effect to occur, the grip ring must grasp the expanded pipe end and not be able to slip over it acting as a pull ring.
With pipes of sufficient strength, a hand ring with only one attack edge is sufficient, while rend to connect pipes from Wei chem or. yielding material, or those with only a small wall thickness, it is advisable to use a gripping ring that is stepped on the inside so that it has several gripping edges that are expediently arranged at such a distance from one another that when the screw connection is tightened they simultaneously against the man tel of the expanded pipe end.
In order to avoid too deep penetration of the edges of the grip ring with soft material, its length is dimensioned so that, as soon as the seal is made, it runs against the face of the connection piece and thus makes further tightening impossible.
The sealed pipe end only needs to be widened a little, so that the new pipe union itself can be used to seal steel pipes with a wall thickness of up to a few millimeters. Since the front inner edge of the to be sealed, z. B. vertically cut pipe end protrudes after expansion on its outer edge, when tightening the screw a Kan ten or. Line seal, which is known to be superior to any surface seal.
The new pipe union is particularly suitable for the gas- and liquid-tight connection of pipes with internal corrosion protection, such as B. internally copper-plated steel pipes or the like, in which damage or injury to the inner lining is not to be feared due to the only slight expansion that the pipe end to be sealed undergoes.
In addition, a particularly intimate connection between the inner lining made of copper or the like and the connector is achieved through the edge or line seal on the front inner edge of the pipe, which withstands all mechanical stresses on the pipe and prevents the medium to be conveyed from coming into contact with the pipe jacket.
To these edges respectively. To make the line seal even more effective, the end face of the connection piece facing the sealed pipe end can be conical, or it can be provided with a special projecting ring with a conical surface. If necessary, a special sealing washer made of soft metal or another suitable material can also be arranged between the welded pipe end and the end face of the connection piece directed against it.
The grip ring can also be in direct connection with the union nut that can be screwed onto the connection piece or, in the case of flange connections, with the flange that can be tightened against the connection part. form part of the same.
The drawing illustrates the invention in three exemplary embodiments: Fig. 1 shows a screwed pipe connection with a special, loosely inserted gripping ring in the nut of the simplest design and a connection piece, the sen, the end of the pipe to be sealed turned end face at right angles to the axis consist of a uniform material the pipe runs; with the hand ring not yet on, half in section and half in view;
Fig. 2 shows the same design of the pipe screw connection, also half in section and half in view, but with the gripping ring firmly tightened, Fig. 3 shows the connection of a pipe with a special inner lining and a connector with a conical end face with the help of an inside graduated grip ring, also half in section and half in view and with the grip ring firmly tightened;
4 shows the same connection of a combination pipe of this type on a connection piece, the end face of which has an annular collar with a conical outer surface protruding into the widened pipe end with the help of an inner-walled gripping ring with a limit stop against the connection piece, also half in section and half in view and with the hand rim firmly tightened.
In all figures, a denotes the connector with its end face b, against which. the pipe end is used in the connected state. c is a union nut screwed onto the external thread of the connection piece and d is the pipe with its slightly conically widened end part d '. A gripping ring pushed loosely over the pipe is labeled e.
With a rectangular cross-section, this can have only one gripping edge e '(FIGS. 1 and 2) or it can also be stepped on the inside (FIGS. 3 and 4), so that two gripping edges e' and e2 are created. Their mutual spacing is chosen so that when tightening the union nut c and the resulting advance of the gripping ring e, they simultaneously run against the jacket of the slightly conically widened pipe part and thereby the pipe d, d ',
which, in a manner known per se, can also have a special inner lining f (FIGS. 3 and 4), with its protruding over the outer edge press the front inner edge against the end face b of the connector a. The latter can, as shown in Fig. 3, be conical ge staltet, or - as shown in Fig. 4 GE - have a protruding collar g with a conical outer surface with an otherwise perpendicular course, which serves as a plant for the sealed inner edge of the pipe face.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 4, the grip ring has an extension e3 projecting beyond its front edge e2. This serves to limit the feed of the hand ring in order to prevent too deep a penetration of its gripping edges on soft pipes when the screw connection is tightened.
When producing the screwed pipe connection, for example, the following procedure: After the grip ring has been pushed loosely over the pipe end to be sealed, this is widened somewhat conically, for example by driving in a mandrel with a slightly conical upper surface. The widening should only be carried out so far that the diameter of the front inner edge of the widened pipe end does not deviate significantly from the outside diameter of the normal pipe jacket that has not been widened.
The purpose of this measure is, through the intermediary of the gripping ring e, the force exerted when pulling the screw connection, forming a radially inwardly directed component on the protruding inner edge of the expanded pipe end. This way will once. prevents the pipe end to be sealed from being able to widen even further while the screw connection is being tightened, while on the other hand a contraction of the same is effectively counteracted by the spreading effect.
