Es ist bereits vorgeschlagen worden, Rohrverhindungen
mit Hilfe einer das Rohrende umgebenden Mutte herzustellen, die in der
nach außen erweiterten Bohrung ein plastisches Dichtungsmaterial und einen mittels
einer Überwurfmutter festzuziehenden Druck ring aulnimmt. Dabei bildeten die innere
Stirnfläche des Druckringes und der Boden des erweiterten Teiles der Muffenbohrung
zur Rohrachse senkrechte Ebenen oder nur wenig dagegen geneigte Kegelflächen. Infolgedessen
wurde das plastische Dichtungsmaterial einem fast rein axialen Druck ausgesetzt.
Gemäß der Erfindung sind im Gegensatz hierzu die genannten Druckflächen gegen eine
zur Rohrachse senkrechte Ebene mn einen Winkel von mindestens 45 ° geneigt. Dadurch
ergibt sich, beim Zusammenpressen des Dichtungsmaterials
zwischen den Druckflächen eine erheblich einwärts gerichtete Druekkomponente.
Durch diese wird das plastische Packungsmaterial nach der Rohrwand hin verschoben, auf die es einen so starken Druck
ausübt, daß es bei entsprechendem Material und entsprechender Wandstärke des Rohres
die Rohrwand nach innen einbeult. s Hierfür . ist nicht nur die erwähnte Form der Druckflächen,
