Non-return device arranged on the pressure side of centrifugal pumps, in particular boiler feed pumps. The invention relates to a non-return member arranged on the rack side of centrifugal pumps, in particular boiler feed pumps, the shaft of which controls an outlet for the conveying means provided in its guide.
The invention consists in that the shaft is provided on the upstream side with a longitudinal channel ending in a continuous transverse bore in such a way that when the non-return element is closed, the Q, ueT bore is brought into connection with the outlet in the guide.
Advantageously, the outlet of the channel in the shaft is designed as a throttle determining the return flow rate. The non-return element can also be provided with a device which works together with the valve seat and which restricts the passage.
An exemplary embodiment of the invention is shown schematically in the drawing. In the pressure line of a centrifugal pump from the parts 1 and 2 be standing housing of the check valve 3 is built.
The shaft 4 guides the valve 3 axially in the guide bushes 7 and 8 connected to the housing parts 1 and 2 by ribs 5 and 6 and is provided with a longitudinal bolt 9 extending from the inflow side, which opens into the transverse bore 10.
Two sealing rings 1'1 are inserted into the guide bush 7 and enclose the space 12 into which the secondary outlet 13, drilled through by a rib 5, opens. This secondary outlet 13, which can be shut off by the closing element 14, is connected to the line 15 which, for example, opens into the feed water reservoir. The check valve 3 is provided with a collar 16.
When the pump delivers, the non-return valve .3 is raised against its weight, possibly up to the stop 17 on the ribs 6. The collar 16 is located above the valve seat 18 and does not exert any throttling effect on the flow. The connection between the transverse channel 10 and the secondary outlet 13 is interrupted, so that no discharge of funds through the secondary outlet 13 takes place.
If the pressure line is now decided, for example by means of a closing orga.nes that works automatically depending on some impulse, then the conveyance through the pressure line ceases. As a result, the back flap 3 lowers on the seat 18 by its own weight.
The transverse bore 10 reaches the position shown and the connection between the longitudinal bore 9 and the secondary outlet 1: 3 is established. The pumped liquid is, since the centrifugal pump continues to run, under the full delivery pressure, so that either through the cross-sectional dimensioning of the longitudinal bore 9, respectively. :
the transverse bore 10 or the secondary outlet 13 or by a built-in throttle disc in the secondary outlet is determined to the feed water reservoir to return flow. If the collar 16 of the check valve 3 is raised to the level of the valve seat 18, the passage of the conveying medium through the collar 16 is very strongly restricted.
In this case, before the unimpeded flow is set when opening, the check valve 3 executes a stroke as large as is necessary to completely close the secondary outlet.
The shaft 4 of the non-return valve 3 can be made of stainless steel and the sealing rings 11 of the guide bush 7 can be made of a hard material, e.g. B. made of hard cast iron or hardened system, stainless steel to achieve good sliding properties and the smallest possible use from.
The longitudinal bore 9 can also extend from the upstream side of the shaft 4 to the upper guide bush 8, in which case one of the ribs 6 would then be drilled through to produce a secondary outlet. The subject matter of the invention can also be used in cases in which the delivery pressure and the temperature are low, provided that the delivery liquid already tends to form steam at such pressures and a slight increase in temperature.
