La fig. 1 est une vue générale partielle- ment en :coupe de la première forme @d'eg6cu- tion dont les fig. 2 et 3 montrent des détails, la fig. 2 étant une coupe par A -B -de la fige. 1; La fig. 4 en est une vue partielle en pers pective; La fig. 5 est une vue :de la seconde forme d'exécution;
Lever escapement for timepieces. The object of the invention: is a lair escapement (this expression also encompassing the so-called Roskopf ankle escapement for timepieces), mainly, but not exclusively for clocks, automatic watches,:
for airplanes or other vehicles, or for speedometers and exhaust carriers.
Timepieces of the type in which the axes of the balance,: of the anchor and of the escape wheel are already known are vertical and parallel to the dial, while the axes of the other moving parts are perpendicular to the dial. This: construction leads to: additional friction:
in the angle gear and the -reduction of friction obtained by the vertical arrangement of the axis: of the balance: becomes illusory.
The object of the invention is to eliminate these additional frictions and to allow easier starting and more regular running than with timepieces of the aforesaid type or with usual types with a balance axis perpendicular to the dial. The reduction in friction also allows more precise adjustment.
The easier starting is advantageous especially in the case of a fixed timepiece, for example frozen in. a mobile car, plane, etc.
The drawing represents, by way of example, three embodiments of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a general view partially in: section of the first embodiment of which FIGS. 2 and 3 show details, fig. 2 being a cut by A -B -of the freeze. 1; Fig. 4 is a partial perspective view; Fig. 5 is a view: of the second embodiment;
Fig. 6 shows the third form of execution; Fig. 7 represents a -detail in: section by C -D of fig. 6; Figs. 8 and 9 show variants, and La fi-. 10 shows a detail of the dial and the plate of one of the variants.
In fig. 1 to .1, 1 designates the plate and 2 the 3/4 plate or finishing bridge (, this bridge 2 could also be the individual bridge of a mobile or a second plate), in which the two pivots of the axis of oscillation of the anchor or fork 3, the horns of which are folded perpendicular to the plane of the body of the. fork and cooperate with the ellipse 5 of the plate 6 (.unique), with a notch 7a which cooperates ie dart 7 located in the plane of the anchor.
This sting can have come from a single piece with the fork or "be constituted by a che ville planted in the body of this one.
The balance 8 whose axis 9 is parallel to the plate is pivoted, on the one hand. in an appendix 10 of the finishing deck. This appendix is perpendicular to the plane of the bridge and directed towards the plate. The second pivot of the balance is pivoted in a cock 11, fixed to the plate, perpendicular to the latter. The plate is provided with an opening 12, into which penetrates the rim of the balance and corresponding to an opening in the dial, through which one can see the oscillating balance.
13 denotes the fork stops.
In fig. 4 and 5, the same reference signs designate the same organs. This embodiment differs from the first in that the balance comprises a large plate 6a, carrying the ellipse 5 and a small plate 6b with the notch 7a of which the dart 7b cooperates, constituted by a rectilinear pin, planted in the body of the fork and per pendicular to the plane do this one. The horns are arranged perpendicular to the body of the fork.
The appendix 1.0a of the bridge 2, carrying one of the bearings of the balance, is directed on the side of this bridge opposite to the. platinum.
In fig. 6 and 7, the stinger is substantially parallel to the plane of the fork, including. the horns da are not folded back, but simply bent transversely in the form of a gutter (see fig. 7), along a cylindrical surface whose axis is perpendicular to the axis of oscillation of the fork. In this embodiment, the balance also comprises a double plate 6c, 6d, but the ellipse.
5a is cylindrical and planted radially on the edge of the small plate 6c and the notch cooperating with the stinger is formed at the edge of the large plate 6d. If the ellipse wears out, it suffices to turn it a fraction of a turn to make it work as if it were new, with an unworn part.
La, fi--. 8 shows a variant in which the horns, perpendieula.ires to the body of the fork, consist of an attached piece of steel for example. They could also be parallel to the plane of the furnace.
Fig. 9 shows a variant in which the horns are located in the plane of the fork and in which the large plate and its ellipse are replaced by a tooth or finger 18 (as. For example, in Roshopf watches).
The fi-. 10 shows in elevation a dial 19 provided with an opening 12a through which the balance is visible; 12b would be a place for the trademark, for example. This figure also shows a part of plate 1 which has a check mark: on bare edge (which is fixed the cock II by means of a screw 17.
Without departing from the scope of the invention, -di- ve11seS variants, among others the following, are possible: The axis of oscillation of the anchor could also be short and be rotated to one of its ends in a bar.
The horns of the , fork could in all the variants be constituted by an added part, in steel for example. The anchor could also be a hanger anchor. A fork of the. form shown in. fi-. 9 could also cooperate with an ellipse planted in the large plate and perpendicular to the axis of the balance. The movement is fitted in such a way that the balance is placed horizontally.
Thus, the balance continuously walks on the tip of the axis.
