Description
Zusatzpatent zum Hauptpatent Nr. 198710. Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Bisazofarbstoffes. Nach dem im Hauptpatent beschriebenen Verfahren erhält man einen Disazofarbstoff, der sich in organischen Lösungsmitteln mit bräunlich gelber Farbe löst, wenn man p- Aminoazobenzol diazotiert und die Diazover- bindung mit p-Isohegylphenol kuppelt.
Wie nun weiter gefunden wurde, erhält man einen Farbstoff mit ganz ähnlichen Ei genschaften, wenn man 4'-Amino-2.3'-di- methyl-azo-benzol diazotiert und die Diazo- verbindung mit p-Isohexylphenol kuppelt.
<I>Beispiel:</I> Man diazotiert in üblicher Weise 22.,5 Teile 4'-Amino-2. 3'-dimethyl-azo-benzol nach Zugabe von 60 Teilen Salzsäure 12' B6 mit 6,9 Teilen Natriumnitrit, filtriert die Diazo- lösung und lässt sie bei 0<B>'</B>zu einer wässerigen Lösung von 17,8 Teilen p-Isohexylphenol und 10 Teilen Natriumhydroxyd, der man zweckmässig ein Emulgiermittel zusetzt,
ein- laufen. Nach Beendigung der Kupplung heizt man auf etwa 60 hoch, nutscht bei Zimmertemperatur ab, wäscht aus und trock net. Der Farbstoff löst sich in organischen Lösungsmitteln mit einem bräunlichen Orange.

The process described in the main patent gives a disazo dye which dissolves in organic solvents with a brownish yellow color when p-aminoazobenzene is diazotized and the diazo compound is coupled with p-isohegylphenol.
As has now been further found, a dye with very similar properties is obtained if 4'-amino-2,3'-dimethyl-azo-benzene is diazotized and the diazo compound is coupled with p-isohexylphenol.
<I> Example: </I> 22.5 parts of 4'-amino-2 are diazotized in the usual way. 3'-dimethyl-azo-benzene, after adding 60 parts of hydrochloric acid 12 'B6 with 6.9 parts of sodium nitrite, the diazo solution is filtered and leaves it at 0 to give an aqueous solution of 17.8 Parts of p-isohexylphenol and 10 parts of sodium hydroxide, to which an emulsifier is expediently added,
come in. After the coupling is complete, the temperature is raised to about 60, suction filtered at room temperature, washed out and dried. The dye dissolves in organic solvents with a brownish orange.
