Description
Verfahren zur Herstellung eines stickstoffhaltigen aromatischen Aldehyds. Gegenstand des vorliegenden Patentes ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines -stick- stoffhaltigen, aromatischen Aldehyds. Das Verfahren ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man N-Chloräthyl-N-äthyl-m-toluidin, N-Me- thylformanilid und Phosphoroxychlorid auf einander einwirken lässt. Der so erhältliche p-Chloräthyl-äthylamino-o-tolylaldehyd stellt derbe Kristalle vom F. P. 54 dar. Er soll zur Synthese von Farbstoffen und anderem dienen.
<I>Beispiel:</I> Zu 80 Gewichtsteilen Phosphoroxychlorid lässt man bei<B>500</B> 90 Gewichtsteile N-Ox- äthyl-N-äthyl-m-toluidin langsam zutropfen und erwärmt das Gemisch noch einige Stun den auf 90-100 . Nach dem Abkühlen auf 20-25 lässt man ein Gemisch von 135 Ge wichtsteilen N-Methylformariilid und 154 Ge wichtsteilen Phosphoroxychlorid zutropfen, erwärmt noch einige Stunden auf 45-50 und trägt auf Eis aus. Der entstandene p-Chloräthyl-äthylamirio-o-tolylaldebyd fällt dabei als bald kristallinisch erstarrendes Öl aus.
Aus Alkohol erhält man den Aldehyd in derben Kristallen vom Schmelzpunkt 54'. Die Ausbeute ist sehr gut.
Process for the preparation of a nitrogen-containing aromatic aldehyde. The subject of the present patent is a process for the production of a nitrogen-containing aromatic aldehyde. The process is characterized in that N-chloroethyl-N-ethyl-m-toluidine, N-methylformanilide and phosphorus oxychloride are allowed to act on one another. The p-chloroethyl-ethylamino-o-tolylaldehyde which can be obtained in this way represents rough crystals from F. P. 54. It is intended to be used for the synthesis of dyes and other things.
<I> Example: </I> At <B> 500 </B> 90 parts by weight of N-oxethyl-N-ethyl-m-toluidine are slowly added dropwise to 80 parts by weight of phosphorus oxychloride and the mixture is warmed up for a few more hours 90-100. After cooling to 20-25, a mixture of 135 parts by weight of N-methylformariilide and 154 parts by weight of phosphorus oxychloride is added dropwise, the mixture is heated to 45-50 for a few hours and then discharged onto ice. The resulting p-chloroethyl-ethylamirio-o-tolylaldebyd precipitates out as an oil which soon solidifies in crystalline form.
The aldehyde is obtained from alcohol in coarse crystals with a melting point of 54 '. The yield is very good.
