  <B>Zusatzpatent</B> zum     Hauptpatent    Nr.<B>196651.</B>    Verfahren zur Herstellung eines     Azofarbstoffes.       Es wurde gefunden, dass     Diazoverbin-          dungen,    die sich von     Aminodi-    und     triphenyl-          äthern    ableiten und die wasserlöslich machende  Gruppen, aber keine Nitrogruppen enthalten,  beim Kuppeln mit hydroaromatischen,     carbo-          cyclischen        P-Diketonen    hervorragend reine  gelbe     Woll-    und Seidenfarbstoffe ergeben,

   die  neben guter Wasch- und Schweissechtheit  sich auch durch sehr gute Lichtechtheit aus  zeichnen. Sie können auch zur Herstellung  von Lacken durch Fällung mit Erdalkali  salzen dienen.  



       (4egenstand    des vorliegenden Patentes ist  ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines gelben       Azofarbstoffes,    das darin besteht, dass man       diazotierte         _        -Amino    - 3', 5'-     dimethyl    -1,1'-     di-          phenyläther-4-sulfonsäure    der Formel

    mit     Cyclohegan-spiro-cyclohexan-3,5-dion     kuppelt.

      Der neue Farbstoff, ein grünlich gelbes  Pulver, löst sich in Wasser mit gelber, in  konzentrierter     Schwefelsäure    mit orangegelber  Farbe und färbt Wolle, und Seide in saurem  Bade in sehr reinen, grünlich gelben, sehr  lichtechten Tönen.  



  <I>Beispiel:</I>  29,3 kg 2     -Amino    - 3',5'-     dimethyl    -1,1'-     di-          phenyläther-4-sulEonsäure    werden wie üblich       diazotiert    und eingetragen in eine frisch  mit Essigsäure ausgefällte Suspension von  18,5 kg     Cyclohexan-spiro-cyclohexan-3,5-dion     in 400 Liter Wasser und 19 kg Natrium  acetat     krist.    Nach mehrstündigem Rühren  wird die Kupplung auf 30   C erhitzt, der  ausgeschiedene Farbstoff     abfiltriert    und ge  trocknet.

   Er stellt ein grünlich gelbes     Pulver     dar, das sich in Wasser mit gelber<B>-</B>und in  konzentrierter Schwefelsäure mit orangegelber  Farbe löst und Wolle und Seide in saurem  Bade in sehr reinen, grünlich gelben, sehr  lichtechten Tönen anfärbt.  



  Die     2-Amino-3',5'-dimethyl-1,1'-diphenyl-          äther-4-sulfonsäure    wird in üblicher Weise      durch Umsetzung von     m-$ylenol        (Alkalisalz)     mit     3-Nitro-4-chlorbenzolsulfonsäure    und nach  folgende Reduktion erhalten.
