Gasmaske. Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung ist eine Gasmaske, welche sich kennzeichnet durch eine bis in die Nackengegend reichende Kopfhaube mit einer daran vorgesehenen, zum Abdecken des Gesichtes nach Art eines Schleiers bestimmte Schutzmembrane, die aus zähem und doch geschmeidigem Material hergestellt und mit einem Gasfilter versehen ist, wobei Befestigungsmittel vorgesehen sind, um einerseits die aufgesetzte Kopfbaube über die Stirne und den Hinterkopf weg festzu binden und anderseits die über das Gesicht bis über die Ohren weg und um das Kinn und den Hals herum geschlagene Schutz membrane satt anliegend auf dem Gesicht festzuhalten und letzteres ringsum gasdicht abzuschliessen.
Zweckmässig sind die Befestigungsmittel zum Festhalten der Schutzmembrane auf dem Gesicht durch am untern Teil der Kopfhaube vorgesehene, unter dem Kinn zu kreuzende und oben auf dem Kopf zu befestigende Bänder gebildet. Ein Ausführungsbeispiel der Gasmaske nach der Erfindung ist auf der beiliegenden Zeichnung in einer einzigen Figur im An wendungszustand dargestellt.
Die gezeichnete Gasmaske hat eine hinten bis in die Nackengegend reichende Kopf haube a, die z. B. aus Segeltuch oder dergl. besteht. An dieser Kopfhaube angebracht, das heisst etwa innen an derselben angenäht oder sonstwie befestigt ist eine durchsichtige oder wenigstens halbdurchsichtige, zum Ab decken des Gesichtes nach Art eines Schleiers bis über die Ohren weg dienende Schutz membrane b, die aus zähem und doch ge schmeidigem Material, wie z. B. Zellulose folie, Ölseide etc. hergestellt ist. Diese Schutzmembrane, die gegebenenfalls aus mehreren Materiallagen bestehen kann, ist mit einem in seiner Gesamtheit mit c be zeichneten Gasfilter versehen.
Die Gasmaske ist mit Befestigungsmitteln versehen, um einerseits die aufgesetzte Kopfhaube a über die Stirne und den Hinterkopf weg festzu- binden und anderseits die über das Gesicht bis über die Ohren weg und um das Kinn und den Hals herum geschlagene Schutz membrane b mit dem Gasfilter c vor Mund und Nase satt anliegend auf dem Gesicht festzuhalten und letzteres ringsum gasdicht abzuschliessen.
Diese Befestigungsmittel be stehen in der Hauptsache aus einem um den Kopf herum verlaufenden und hinten etwa mittels Schnalle festzuschliessenden Band d und ferner aus am untern Teil der Kopf haube vorgesehenen, unter dem Kinn zu kreuzenden und oben auf dem Kopf mitein ander zu verbindenden oder zum Beispiel auch an einer dort vorgesehenen Öse mittels eines an ihrem Ende befestigten Hakens anzuhän genden Bändern e, die gegebenenfalls elastisch ausgebildet sein könnten. Bei der dargestell ten Gasmaske sind an den Enden der Be festigungsbänder e mit Schliesshaken und -öse versehene Zugfedern ei vorgesehen.
Zweck mässig lässt sich auch der Gasfilter c mittels einer aus einem Befestigungsband f und Zugfedern f i bestehenden zusätzlichen Be festigungsvorrichtung auf Kinn und Nase aufdrücken. Um zu verhindern, daG die Schutzmembrane in der Augengegend knit tert und die Durchsichtigkeit derselben da- dadurch beeinträchtigt wird, sind an den Augenstellen Spannringe g vorgesehen, die aus zwei ineinandergefügten Ringteilen init der dazwischen eingeklemmten Schutzmem brane bestehen.
Die Schutzmembrane könnte zum Beispiel wich aus dünnwandigem Gummi, Guttapercha etc. bestehen.
