Abstract
The inflatable helmet is used as an aid in swimming, protection against cold and as a protection helmet for sporting purposes. The helmet has two connected hoses which act as clamping straps around the chin. These hoses form an integral part of the helmet and they form a loop having one end fastened by a press stud on the helmet. The helmet is inflated through the valve (9) at neck and encloses the skull; the looped straps (5c, 5d) providing protection for the chin. In another version the loop forms a separate inflatable arrangement which is fastened on the helmet by press studs on both ends.
Description
Fig. 2 eine Vorderansicht zu Fig. 1,
Fig. 4 eine Vorderansicht zu Fig. 3.

The subject of the main patent is a headgear that can be used as a swimming aid, cold protection and protective helmet for athletes, which differs from known headgear of this type in that it has a double-walled, hermetically sealed cavity enclosing, inflatable hood made of pliable material.
The present invention relates to a further embodiment of the subject matter protected by the main patent and consists in that the hood is provided with a retaining strap which has at least two inflatable beads, namely a lower and an upper bead protruding above these, of which the The lower bead is intended to rest under the chin, and the upper bead is intended to rest in front of the chin of the swimming person.
The drawing shows, for example, embodiments of the subject matter of the invention, namely:
1 shows a first embodiment of the headgear serving as a swimming aid, seen from the side,
FIG. 2 is a front view of FIG. 1,
3 shows a second embodiment of the headgear also serving as a swimming aid, seen from the side,
FIG. 4 shows a front view of FIG. 3.
In the headgear shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, 1 denotes the inflatable hood made of rubber or a flexible plastic skin, the walls 2 and 3 of which enclose a hermetically sealed inflatable cavity 4. A tubular extension Sb, which is arranged on one side of the hood and which consists of one piece with the hood, and whose cavity communicates with that of the hood, serves as a retaining strap. At the free end, the hollow retaining band Sb runs out into a flat tab 10. This flap is detachably connected by a push button 8 to a reinforced part 6 on the other side of the hood.
As can be seen in particular from FIG. 1, the retaining strap Sb has two hollow bulges 5c and Sd, of which the lower bulge Sc is intended to rest under the chin, while the bulge Sd protruding over the bulge Sc is designed such that it is at With the hood on and the strap closed, it comes to rest in front of the chin or in the curve between the mouth and chin. In the training described, the tendency to lift the chin of the swimming person and tilt his head back and thereby keep his mouth and nose above the water level is particularly pronounced.
The headgear according to the further embodiment according to FIGS. 3 and 4 corresponds to that according to FIGS. 1 and 2, with the difference that the inflatable retaining strap Se, Sf 5g does not communicate with the cavity 4 of the hood, but is designed as a separate buoyancy body.
The retaining strap Se runs out at both ends in flat tabs 5 and is attached to the hood at one end by means of a rivet 7, while at the other end it is detachably connected to the hood by means of a push button 8. In terms of effectiveness, the embodiment according to FIGS. 3 and 4 corresponds to that according to FIGS. 1 and 2.
The hood walls 2 and 3 can be coated on the outside with a resistant textile fabric, which can consist of both natural and synthetic fibers.
