Device for grating cheese and the like. A device for grating cheese and the like fulfills its purpose to a greater extent if it is designed as a table appliance in such a way that anyone can chop the cheese immediately before use, according to their respective needs. The handling should be as simple and convenient as possible.
The device according to the present invention is now built in such a way that it can be easily manufactured as a table device.
In the accompanying drawing, which shows an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention, Fig. 1 illustrates the longitudinal section of the entire device before, Fig. 2 is a component in section, Fig. 3 is a plan view of this component, Fig. 4 is a cross section of a variant of this component Fig. 5 shows the bottom view of this variant and Fig. 6 shows the cross section of a further variant of this component, the illustrated device for grating cheese and the like consists according to FIG. 1 in principle of the rasp 12,
which can be set in rotation in the housing 1 by means of axis 3 and crank 4. The container 1 is closed at the top by a threaded or other closure with a lid 2 and at the bottom by the rasp 12. In its center, the rasp 12 is rigidly connected to the threaded axis 3, which protrudes from the cover and is screwed to the crank 4 at the upper end 5. The axis 3 has a main part 11, which is connected to the disc-shaped rasp 12 and along which the pressure plate 8 runs, as well as a threadless intermediate part 10, which forms the stop on the cover 2, and a closing part 5 to which the crank 4 is screwed is. The parts 11 and 5 have opposite threads.
When the crank 4 is rotated, the non-rotatable pressure plate 8 provided with a Ge thread hole is moved towards the rasp. Advantageously, the axis 8 in the main part 11 has a left-hand thread, so that the pressure plate is shifted by turning the crank to the right as usual.
When using the device for Rei ben cheese and the like, the axis 3 with the rasp 12 is placed in the open container. Then you fill the cheese or the like in the space i, insert the pressure plate 8 up to the thread start of the axis main part 11 and screw it through some turns on the axis, whereupon the cover 2 and the crank 4 are attached.
By simply turning the crank 4, the rasp 12 is now also rotates with the axis 3 ge, while at the same time the non-rotating face pressure plate 8 is pulled down. This has the consequence that the cheese and the same is pressed under constant pressure against the ras pel and is crushed there, whereupon it falls through the open side 9 of the device.
Various precautions can be taken to prevent the pressure plate 8 from rotating in the housing 1. According to Fig. 2 and 3, two opposing guide pins 8 'are arranged on the peripheral surface of the pressure plate, which run in the longitudinal grooves of the container correspond. According to FIGS. 4 and 5, the pressure plate 8 has special ribs 13 at the bottom, by means of which the plate is held on the container contents. This training can also be combined with the guide pins described above; it then has the task of fixing the contents of the container against revolutions.
So that the device can be used for the most diverse types of cheese, the design of the device shown in FIG. 6 is recommended. Here the pressure plate 8 is supplemented by a disc 15 which is connected by a spiral spring 14 to the pressure plate. This creates a certain amount of play between the pressure plate 8 and the contents of the container and makes it impossible to clamp the contents between the pressure plate and the rasp as much as possible. The disc 15 can analogously to the pressure plate according to FIGS. 4 and 5 below ribs or other increases wear to either fix the pressure plate or with the purpose of holding the container contents against rotation.
The described device for grating cheese and the like has the advantage that the supply of the contents of the container to the ras pel does not have to be specially made, but is inevitably carried out by the turns of the crank, with constant pressure on the contents and with uniform movement of the Printing plate. This makes it possible to choose any size of the device's capacity.
