  Verfahren zur Herstellung einer     Azoverbindung.       Das Hauptpatent betrifft     ein    Verfahren  zur Herstellung einer     Azoverbindung,    die  durch ihre bakterizide Wirkung ausgezeich  net     ist.     



       Gegenstand    des vorliegenden Patentes  ist ein Verfahren zur Darstellung des 2-Oxy       4-aminoazobenzol-4'-sulfonsäureamid-hydro-          chlorids.    Das Verfahren ist dadurch ge  kennzeichnet, dass man das     Diazonium-          chlorid    aus     4-Aminobenzolsulfonamid    in  schwach saurer Lösung mit     3-Aminophenol     kuppelt. Das neue Produkt ist ein ziegelrotes,  in Natronlauge mit kirschroter Farbe lös  liches Pulver vom Schmelzpunkt<B>228'.</B> Es  soll im Hinblick auf seine bakteriziden  Eigenschaften pharmazeutische Verwendung  finden.  



  <I>Beispiel:</I>  20,8 g Hydrochlorid des     4-Aminobenzol-          sulfonamids    werden in 100 cm' Wasser ge  löst, 15     cm@    konzentrierte Salzsäure     zuge-          gegeben    und mit einer Lösung von 6,9 g       Natriumnitrit    bei     etwa    5      diazotiert.    Zur    Lösung des gebildeten     Diazoniumehlorids     gibt man eine     Lösung    von<B>10,9</B> g     3-Amino-          phenol    in     überschüssiger    Essigsäure.

   Nach  einstündigem Rühren wird das abgeschiedene       Hydrochlorid    des     2-Oxy-4-aminoazobenzol-          4'-sulfonsäureamids    als ziegelrotes, in Na  tronlauge mit kirschroter Farbe lösliches  Pulver vom F.     228-          abgesaugt    und ge  trocknet.

  <I> Example: </I> 20.8 g of 4-aminobenzenesulfonamide hydrochloride are dissolved in 100 cm of water, 15 cm of concentrated hydrochloric acid are added and a solution of 6.9 g of sodium nitrite is added at about 5 cm diazotized. A solution of 10.9 g of 3-aminophenol in excess acetic acid is added to the solution of the diazonium chloride formed.

   After stirring for one hour, the precipitated hydrochloride of 2-oxy-4-aminoazobenzene-4'-sulfonic acid amide is sucked off as a brick-red powder of F. 228- soluble in sodium hydroxide solution with a cherry-red color and dried.

PATENTANSPRUCH: Verfahren zur Darstellung einer Azo- verbindung, . dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man das Diazoniumchlorid aus 4-Amino- benzolsulfonsäureamid mit 3-Aminophenol in schwach saurer Lösung kuppelt. Das so erhältliche 2-Oxy-4-aminoazoben- zol-4'-sulfonsäureamid-hydrochlorid ist ein ziegelrotes, in Natronlauge mit kirschroter Farbe lösliches Pulver vom F. 228 . PATENT CLAIM: Process for the preparation of an azo compound,. characterized in that the diazonium chloride from 4-aminobenzenesulfonic acid amide is coupled with 3-aminophenol in a weakly acidic solution.
