Description
Verfahren zur Herstellung einer Azoverbindung. Das Hauptpatent betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung einer Azoverbindung, die durch ihre bakterizide Wirkung ausgezeich net ist. Gegenstand des vorliegenden Patentes ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung des 6,8-Dioxy- chinoliri-azophenyl-4'-sulfonsäureamides. Das Verfahren ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man die Diazoverbindung des 4-Amiciobenzol- sulfonamides mit 6,8-Dioxycbinolin in Gegen wart verdünnter Alkalilauge kuppelt.
Aus der Reaktionsmischung lässt sich das neue Pro dukt durch Zusatz von Essigsäure als braunes Kristallpulver abscheiden. Es kann durch Umlösen in Natronlauge und erneutes Aus fällen mit Essigsäure gereinigt werden und zeigt dann den Schmelzpunkt 232 Das neue Produkt soll im Hinblick auf seine bakteriziden Eigenschaften pharmazeu tische Verwendung finden. <I>Beispiel:</I> 20,8 g Hydrochlorid des 4-Aminobenzol- sulfonamides werden in 100 cm' Wasser ge löst, 15 cm3 konzentrierte Salzsäure zugege ben und mit einer Lösung von 6,9 g Natrium nitrit bei etwa 5 dianotiert.
Die Diazolösung wird mit einer Lösung von 16,1 g 6,8-Dioxy- chinolin in überschüssiger verdünnter Natron lauge vermischt. Aus der dunkelroten Lösung wird das 6,8-Dioxychinolinazophenyl-4'-sulfon- säureamid mit Essigsäure als braunes Kristall pulver abgeschieden, das nach dem Umlösen aus Natronlauge und Fällen mit Essigsäure den F. 232 (u. Zers.) zeigt.
Process for producing an azo compound. The main patent relates to a process for the production of an azo compound which is distinguished by its bactericidal effect. The subject of the present patent is a process for the preparation of 6,8-dioxy-quinoliri-azophenyl-4'-sulfonic acid amide. The process is characterized in that the diazo compound of 4-amiciobenzene sulfonamide is coupled with 6,8-dioxycbinoline in the presence of dilute alkali.
The new product can be separated from the reaction mixture as a brown crystal powder by adding acetic acid. It can be cleaned by dissolving it in sodium hydroxide solution and precipitating it again with acetic acid and then has a melting point of 232. In view of its bactericidal properties, the new product should be used in pharmaceuticals. <I> Example: </I> 20.8 g of the hydrochloride of 4-aminobenzenesulfonamide are dissolved in 100 cm of water, 15 cm3 of concentrated hydrochloric acid are added and a solution of 6.9 g of sodium nitrite is added at about 5% .
The diazo solution is mixed with a solution of 16.1 g of 6,8-dioxyquinoline in excess dilute sodium hydroxide solution. The 6,8-dioxyquinolinazophenyl-4'-sulfonic acid amide is precipitated from the dark red solution with acetic acid as a brown crystal powder, which after dissolving from sodium hydroxide solution and precipitating with acetic acid shows the F. 232 (and decomposition).
