Druckgassehalter.
Compressed gas holder. In the case of pressure switches with switch contacts blown with air or gas for arc quenching, the gas flowing away from the switching point is passed through a cooling device. In addition to the pure cooling effect on the hot gases, this cooling device has the purpose of deionizing the gases and binding the metal parts that have been carried along so that the gases at the outlet end from the cooler are approximately returned to the state they were in before they passed through the extinguishing point possessed.
In this way, voltage flashovers between tween: the outflowing extinguishing agent and Sohaltertteile respectively. live metal parts in the vicinity avoided. In addition there is the damping effect that adheres to all such Kühlein directions for the bang arising when the switch contacts are opened.
So far known Kühleinrich lines for switches of this type use cooling surfaces or heat sinks that BEZW parallel. lie more or less transversely to the direction of flow of the gas, so oppose the gas flow resistance. It is also proposed to divide the gas inside the cooler in a zigzag shape in the direction of flow of the gas and with the aid of guide surfaces. also lead back and forth perpendicular to it.
In all known coolers, however, the outlet opening for the cooled and deionized gas lies in the cooler axis. All known cooler designs with an axial outlet must be built so that a large space is left free in the axial direction between the switching point and the cooler, in which the gas can freely exhaust away from the switching point in order to achieve the performance of the switch favorably shape. The efficiency of the switch is in turn greatly reduced by the cooling installation, which reduces the exhaust cross-section, because the base area of the cooler is determined by the phase distance.
With multi-pole or multi-phase switches, however, the exhaust cross-section can only be enlarged in the direction of the phase spacing, so that taking into account phase flashovers, the space required for such a switch is very large. In addition, all coolers with an axial exhaust generate large reaction forces in the exhaust direction, which are particularly harmful for switches with wall mounting, where the coolers are at right angles to the isolators supporting the switching chamber.
The invention now relates to a pressure switch with switch contacts blown for arc extinguishing by air or Gag, in which the extinguishing agent flows away from the switching point via a cooling device and in which the above-mentioned deficiencies are eliminated in that the cooling device is a cylindrical structure is, which has spiral walls, and that this structure is designed in such a way that a free entry space for the extinguishing agent flowing off from the extinguishing point is available centrally within it,
from which the extinguishing agent enters tangentially between the spirally extending walls and after flowing through the same exits tangentially on the circumference of the cylindrical structure.
In the drawing are shown in Fig. 1 in longitudinal section and in Fig. 2 and 3 in cross-section. Through the cooler Ausführungsbei games of the invention.
Of the pressure switch, only the upper part of the blow chamber a with the fixed switch contact b, and the movable contact c. Shown, the other switch parts with the drive and control mechanism are omitted as insignificant for understanding the invention. A muffler e connects to the blow chamber a, to which the cooler d is built and attached. The cooler d is a cylindrical Ge, the spiral walls be seated and on. its front end facing away from the exhaust is completely closed by a cover eleven.
The end of the cylindrical structure facing the exhaust must also be closed off in such a way that the gas cannot escape at the end; this can, as shown, be achieved by the fact that the front end is built and fastened in an annular groove on the muffler of the switch. But it can also do that. The end facing the exhaust pipe must be closed off by a special circular ring-shaped cover which allows the exit from the central space g within the spiral walls.
The cooler with the spirally extending walls can, as shown in FIG. 2, consist of a single cylinder, the wall of which is bent together in several spiral passages. A plurality of, for example, four spirally wound individual cylinders d to d4 can also be pushed into one another according to FIG.
It is useful to arrange two entry gaps i, to i4 below each other and also two exit gaps ml to na, for the gas below each other, diametrically opposite one another: To press one together To prevent the walls of the cooler, spacer bolts h can be provided in any distribution Ver.
The hot gases flowing away from switching point b, c when the switch is opened first enter space g of the cooler unthrottled, then get tangentially into the spiral passages between the walls of the same, in order to exit after flowing through the same as the tangential outside of the cooler, as indicated by the arrows in FIGS. 1 to 8.
The cooling device for pressure switches according to the invention makes it possible to make the exhaust space in the heat sink large, so that the gas can flow into it without throttling and furthermore to enlarge the outlet cross-section of the gas from the heat sink as required by increasing its longitudinal dimension, without having to increase the phase spacing for multi-pole switches. The throttling of the gas is lower and so is the power loss. On the other hand, the exit speed of the gas is reduced, so that good noise suppression is achieved.
