Anzeigeeinrichtung.
Display device. The invention relates to a display device, the display element of which can be connected, for example, to a primary-actuated element of a pressure gauge, an air speed indicator or a thermometer. The purpose of the present invention is to create a simpler and more manageable display device.
This display device has a rotatable display member, an attached to the display member, steep screw spindle and an arm which is arranged so that it can move in a plane containing the spindle axis ent, and which engages in the threads of the screw spindle in such a way that it acts as a nut.
According to the present invention, the arm is at least partially resilient in a plane that is transverse to the plane containing it and the axis of the screw spindle, and it presses so resiliently against the screw spindle and engages in its threads that there is no clearance between it and the threads are present.
In the accompanying drawings, four embodiments of the present invention are shown.
Fig. 1 is a schematic, perspective view of part of a barometric instrument. In this view, some parts of the instrument are broken away to show the construction of the instrument.
Fig. 21 is a similar view of a modified embodiment from; FIG. 3 is a similar view of a third embodiment, and FIG. 4 is a view of a modification of the device shown in FIG. The same reference symbols denote the same parts in all figures of the drawing.
The instrument shown in Fig. 1 has a base plate 10 \ which carries two support members 11 and 12. A screw spindle 13 is mounted in these support members by means of pins 14 and 15. A pointer 16 is attached to the pin 15 in such a way. that it rotates with the screw spindle 13. The screw spindle 13 is formed by twisting a flat metal strip in a helical shape. The screw spindle 13 can rotate, but according to the support members 11 and 12, do not move axially ver.
These two support members can be pulled against each other by means of a screw 17 in such a way that any play between the screw spindle 13 and the bearings is compensated for in the axial direction.
A resilient rod 18 is bent at 19 to form a fork-shaped part. The screw spindle 13 passes through the slot 20 and is slightly wedged between the part 19 'and the rod 18, which parts 18 and 19' resiliently press against one another. There is thus no clearance between the rod 18 and the screw spindle 13.
The rod 18 is wound benfeder at 21 to form a screw and its end is attached to a fixed support piece 23. The screw spring 21 allows the rod 18 to oscillate in a plane containing the axis of the screw spindle 13 and also acts as a return spring to return the rod 18 to its lowest position at the base of the screw spindle 13.
The primary actuated element of the instru ment, which is the diaphragm housing of a barometer in the instrument shown in FIG. 1, carries a metallic support member 25 which, as shown, is bent over so that it forms a whole 26 which connects with the rod 18 cooperates. The expansion or contraction of the diaphragm housing moves the gante 26 so that the rod 18 swings around the helical spring 2, 1 and thereby causes
that the slot 20 moves along the axis of the screw spindle 13. The screw spindle 13 rotates here and rotates the pointer 1.6.
It can be seen that with this device there is no clearance between the pointer and the primary actuated element, so that no special clearance spring is necessary. Furthermore, there is no special return spring, because the wound part 2'1 of the rod 18 itself acts as a return spring. The display device can be designed so that the pointer can perform an unusually large movement of two or more revolutions.
As shown in Fig. 1, the screw spindle 13 has been formed by rotating the flat strip by two turns, so that the screw spindle 1'3 and the pointer 16 perform two rotations, while the rod 1,8 along the screw spindle from moved from bottom to top.
The linear magnification of the membrane deflection generated by this display device can be changed by shifting the cutting edge 26 along the rod 18, which acts as a lever. This displacement of the cutting edge can be brought about, for example, by deforming the support member 25.
Means can be provided for adjusting the fastening of the rod 18 in order to change its lever transmission ratio as well as to adjust this rod. For this purpose, the support piece 23 passes through a bore of a member 27 in such a way that it can be displaced with respect to this member. The support piece 23 is held in the link 2'7 by a screw 28. The link 27 is mounted in a fixed part 29 and is held in place by a screw 30.
Although it is preferable that the screw spindle is clamped between the rod 18 and the part 19 ', the screw spindle can also run freely in the slot 20 without play, as long as the part 19' or the lever 18 is easy There is pressure against the screw spindle.
The display device, which is shown in FIG. 2, is designed in such a way that it displays certain measured variables in a constant, linear magnification. The arrangement of the pointer and the screw spindle is the same as explained above and does not need to be explained further.
The rod 18 is bent back at 19 to encompass the screw spindle 13, as explained above, but instead of being straight it is bent <B> 90, '</B> so that it has a portion 31, which runs at right angles to the longitudinal direction of the fork-shaped part and parallel to the axis of the screw spindle 13. The part 31 is mounted in a bearing body 32 so that it can slide in the axial direction. A ring 3.3 is attached to its end. A return spring 34 cooperates with the ring 38 and the bearing body '32 and strives to move the rod 18 in one direction and thereby the slot 20 to one end of the screw spindle 13.
The primary actuated element of the measuring device (not shown in FIG. 2) interacts with the ring 33 in such a way that the rod 18 is moved parallel to the axis of the screw spindle 13. The mode of operation of this facility is based on the earlier description. exercise without further ado. It should be noted that in the device shown in Fig. 2, the rod 18 aligns itself with respect to the screw spindle.
In the display device shown in FIG. 3, the fork-shaped part 18 and 19 is given a movement parallel to itself, so that it is always perpendicular to the axis of the screw spindle 1, 3. This enables the edge 2,6 to be arranged close to the axis of the screw spindle. In this arrangement, the fork-shaped part 18, 19 is fastened to the central part of a resilient rod 35 be, which is wound into coil springs at 36, 37, 3.8 and 39 and is also bent at 37 and 38 so that they are two mutually parallel parts which are connected to each other by a third part to which the fork-shaped part 18, 19 is attached.
The rod '35 is flexible on the coil springs and acts as a joint parallelogram. The ends of the rod 35 are attached to a support member 23 ', which can be arranged adjustable in the same way as the support piece 2.3 in FIG.
Fig. 4 shows a variant of the mounting of the rod 18 shown in Fig. 1. This rod is not wound into a coil spring, but fixed in a part 40, which is rotatably supported by .Schraubenzapfen 41 in a fork-shaped extension 422 of the part 23 is. The spring 43 tends to push the rod 1.8 into its lowest position. On the part 40 a counter weight 44 is arranged axially displaceable.
The counterweight 44 can be adjusted so that the rod 18 is balanced with the parts fastened to it with respect to the axis of rotation at 41, so that: it is not influenced by parts of the instrument itself during acceleration. The counterweight can also be adjusted to regulate the return force of the spring 43 so that it counteracts the force of the spring 43 to any degree.
It should be noted that in all the embodiments shown, the fork-shaped part of the rod 18 exerts a constant force on the screw spindle 1.3, which is independent of the current position of the individual parts. This force is used to prevent play between .Spindle and arm 18.
In known instruments, the game is prevented by a coiled spring, which engages the pointer and exerts a gradually increasing or decreasing force on the drive device for the pointer by pressing parts of this device against each other, which, however, the Rei environment between these parts. is gradually increased or decreased. The use of a coiled spring also makes it difficult for the pointer to achieve a work path exceeding one turn.
In the case of individual known measuring instruments, the speed of the primary actuated element changes constantly on its entire path, so that if the connection between it and the pointer results in a constant magnification, the scale over which the pointer moves on a. Side must have greater distances than on the other.
In any of the present facilities, a uniform scale can be obtained if the screw spindle 13 is formed with a variable pitch, so that it results in a variable enlargement in conjunction with the rod 1.8.
The variable pitch can be obtained so that the screw spindle is formed from a flat strip, the cross-section of which changes from one end to the other. If such a strip. is twisted by holding on to one end and turning the other, the amount of twist obtained over a small length of the strip is inversely proportional to the cross-sectional size and thus to the rigidity of this part. The pitch of the helix thus changes over its length.
Either the thickness or the width of the strip or both can be changed. If the width and the slope change proportionally, the helix has a variable slope but a constant slope angle.
The screw spindle can be produced by twisting it from a strip of rectangular or other cross-section.
The pointer can move over a scale in order to make a visible display or it can carry a contact which, in a certain position of the pointer, interacts with a fixed contact and closes an electrical circuit by which any device can be operated.
