Description
Fahrzeugradfelge. Fahrzeugradfelgen aus rostendem Metall mit Verstärkungen durch Drahteinlagen sind schon bekannt.
Die den Gegenstand der Erfindung bil- ilende Fahrzeugradfelge besteht nun aus Leichtmetall, wobei die beiden zum Halten des aufzusetzenden Gummireifens dienenden, seitlichen Halteflansche einen verstärkten Querschnitt haben. Als Leichtmetall kommt beispielsweise eine Aluminiumlegierung in Frage.
Die Verwendung von Leichtmetall ergibt ausser dem Vorteil der Leichtigkeit eine nichtrostende, im natürlichen Zustand blank bleibende Felge, deren Oberfläche beständiger ist als die einer besonderen Behandlung wie Vernicklung, Verchromung etc. unterworfe nen Oberflächen. Die Ausbildung der Felge mit verstärktem Querschnitt für die Halte flansche ergibt dieselben oder noch höhere Stabilitätsvorzüge als die bekannten Kon struktionen mit Verstärkung durch Drahtein lagen, bei erhöhtem Widerstand gegen De- formierungen, Stossschäden etc. und gutem Schutz der Reifensäume, ferner ermöglicht die erfindungsgemässe Ausbildung eine billi gere Herstellung.
Ferner geben die verstärkten Halte flansche bei ihrer Anwendung auf Fahrräder mit Felgenbremsen eine sehr stabile Gegen lage für letztere und überdies bleibt bei der Einwirkung der Felgenbremse die Felge immer blank, im Gegensatz zu vernickelten Felgen, bei welchen der Nickelüberzug durch die Wirkung der Bremsen beschädigt wird.
In der Zeichnung ist ein Ausführungs beispiel des Erfindungsgegenstandes schau bildlich und im Schnitt veranschaulicht.
Die Halteflansche 1 der dargestellten Fahrradfelge sind gegenüber dem Felgen boden 2 stark verdickt und haben einen sichelförmigen Querschnitt. Im Felgenboden ist eine ringsum verlaufende Ausbuchtung 3 zur Aufnahme der Speichenenden und Speichenverschraubungen gebildet, wobei die Ausbuchtung 3 so tief gehalten ist, dass die genannten Lagerungsteile der Speichen den Schlauch und den Gummireifen nicht stören. Die wulstförmige Ausbuchtung 3 ergibt gleichzeitig eine Verstärkung des Felgen bodens 2 an derjenigen Stelle, die infolge Durchlochung für die Befestigung der Spei chen stark beansprucht ist. Das gezeichnete Profil der Felge bietet den Rändern des Gummireifens genügend Raum für eine rei bungslose Lagerung.

In addition to the advantage of lightness, the use of light metal results in a non-rusting rim that remains bare in its natural state, the surface of which is more durable than surfaces subjected to special treatment such as nickel-plating, chrome-plating, etc. The formation of the rim with a reinforced cross-section for the retaining flanges results in the same or even higher stability advantages than the known constructions with reinforcement by wire inserts, with increased resistance to deformation, impact damage, etc. and good protection of the tire hems, also enables the inventive training cheaper production.
Furthermore, when used on bicycles with rim brakes, the reinforced retaining flanges provide a very stable counter-position for the latter and, moreover, when the rim brake acts, the rim always remains bare, in contrast to nickel-plated rims, where the nickel coating is damaged by the action of the brakes .
In the drawing, an embodiment example of the subject invention is shown graphically and in section.
The retaining flanges 1 of the bicycle rim shown are greatly thickened compared to the rim base 2 and have a sickle-shaped cross section. A bulge 3 running all around is formed in the rim base for receiving the spoke ends and spoke screw connections, the bulge 3 being kept so deep that the mentioned bearing parts of the spokes do not interfere with the tube and the rubber tire. The bead-shaped bulge 3 simultaneously results in a reinforcement of the rim bottom 2 at that point that is heavily stressed due to perforation for the attachment of the Spei surfaces. The drawn profile of the rim offers the edges of the rubber tire enough space for frictionless storage.
