Ausführungsbeispiele der Erfindung sind in der Zeichnung schematisch dargestellt. Fig. 1 zeigt ein Rohr und ein Kabel im Querschnitt und die Vorrichtung mit den Rollen in Ansicht; Fig. 2 ist in grösserem Massstabe ein durch die Rollenachse gelegter :Querschnitt; Fig. 3 ist ein Querschnitt nach Linie III-III .der Fig. 2;
Device for supporting cables in protective conduits. The underground cables, for example telephone cables, are often protected by pipes made of concrete or the like, which are embedded in the ground and walled up to several Ren one behind the other, so that a channel is formed. The laying of the cable takes place in such a way that the cable is inserted at the mouth of the canal and is pulled through the canal by means of a rope which was inserted during the manufacture of the canal.
If the cable jacket rubs against the bottom of the duct, it can be easily damaged. After laying, the envelope can be affected along its line of contact with the pipe wall by the inevitable on the bottom of the pipe from settling filtration and condensation water. In addition, when the cable touches the pipe wall, there are electrolysis phenomena, which impair the cable's insulation capacity and service life.
The invention now provides a simple, roller-type device for supporting cables, which eliminates the disadvantages mentioned during laying and the undesirable effects on the cable in the protective tube. The device has a clamping ring that can be tightened around the cable and at least three rollers evenly distributed over its circumference; preferably made of insulating material, projecting radially outward angeord net, which are intended to roll when laying the cable on the inner wall of the pipe.
When inserting a cable into a pipe, such devices should be placed on the cable at certain intervals.
The pull to be exerted on this when pulling the cable through is smaller than if the cable were to drag on the bottom of the pipe, and the cable casing is not damaged. The distances between the inspection shafts can therefore be longer than usual, i.e. fewer shafts need to be arranged over a certain pipe length. The cable remains floating and, if the rollers are made of insulating material, the cable sheath is insulated,
so that electrolysis phenomena are excluded. The cable sheathing can therefore consist of lower quality material and does not need to be as strong as usual; these savings outweigh the additional costs of using the rollers.
Embodiments of the invention are shown schematically in the drawing. Fig. 1 shows a pipe and a cable in cross section and the device with the rollers in view; FIG. 2 is, on a larger scale, a cross-section taken through the roller axis; Fig. 3 is a cross-section on the line III-III of Fig. 2;
FIG. 4 is a representation like FIG. 1 of another embodiment.
In Fig. 1, the pipe 1 is of circular cross-section and 'is used to' protect the cable 2. The inner wall of the pipe is lined with a layer la, which consists of a silicate or the like and forms a smooth and hard surface.
The cable 2 is provided at certain intervals with a carrier according to FIG. 1 'to 3 from the elastic ring 3 be standing, which is opened, placed around the cable, closed again and then secured by means of the clamping screws 4 acting on the flanges . A plurality of brackets 5 made of elastic material are riveted, soldered or welded onto it, projecting radially outwards, evenly around the circumference.
Each bracket 5 carries a roller 9 with its two parallel legs (legs 5a). For this purpose, additional bracket 6 is attached to each bracket leg 5a by welding, soldering or riveting, the legs 6a of which the bron zenen bearings 7 are screwed whose bearing shells are on the bellows circumference of the pin 8 of the rollers 9 ersirecheii, which roles have spherical or spheroidal upper surfaces.
The rollers 9 are pushed onto the pins 8 up to the stops 8a and then fastened on the opposite side by the nut 10. The rollers are expediently made of glass, porcelain or some other insulating material. Since they are predominantly considered as standing and less often as slow-moving carriers, an exact shape of the upper surfaces is not necessary, neither the roller nor the pipe. Any existing irregularities are compensated for by the elastic after giving the bracket 5.
As a result of the presence of the rollers 9, which roll during the pulling in of the cable 2 in the pipe 1, damage to the sheathing that would occur if the cable would drag on the bottom of the pipe is excluded. The casing can therefore be lighter or consist of a less resistant material.
During operation, the cable remains suspended approximately in the pipe axis, so it does not touch the water that settles on the ground or runs along it; therefore, corrosion of the coating cannot occur either through oxidation or through electrolysis.
In the embodiment of Fig. 4, the support frame is formed from a ring, which consists of two rigid half-rings 11 and 12 be, which are articulated by means of the hinge 13 and are provided with flanges 14 at the junction facing away from the hinge, in their bores 15 tensioning screws for fastening the ring on the cable 2 are provided.
The ring 11, 12 carries forks 16 offset from one another by 120, in which rollers 1'8 made of insulating material are supported on pins 17. The circle on which the outermost roller points lie has a diameter that is slightly smaller than the inner diameter of the pipe 1. This arrangement prevents jamming that could occur if the inner pipe diameter has some fluctuations.
Nevertheless, since the device is always supported on two rollers against the pipe, insulation of the cable is secured and the friction when pulling in the cable is further reduced.
This embodiment, because of the presence of the hinge 13, enables the ring to be opened completely, thus facilitating and accelerating its attachment to the cable.
The distances between the inspection shafts can be kept longer than usual in both designs, both because the cable is made easier by rolling in the pipe, and because the cable has the option of to adapt to thermal changes in length easily.
By changing the diameter: of the clamping ring, cables of different diameters can be introduced and held in the same tube.
