Gegenstand des vorliegenden Patentes ist  ein Verfahren zur Darstellung einer     1.8-          Naphthalindikarbonsäureimidverbindung,    da  durch gekennzeichnet, dass man     4-Sulfo-1.8-          naphthalindikarbonsäure    mit     Taurin    im Druck  gefäss bei erhöhter Temperatur behandelt.

    <I>Beispiel=</I>  Durch Erhitzen von     4-Sulfo-1.8-naph-          thalindikarbonsäure    mit einer 14     o/oigen        Tau-          rinlösung    in Gegenwart von etwas Natrium  sulfit bei etwa<B>1700</B> im Druckgefäss erhält  man das wasserlösliche     Sulfoäthylaminonaph-          thalsulfoäthylimid    von folgender Formel:

    Diese Verbindung ist ein neuer Stoff, der  zur Herstellung von Farbstoffen verwendet  werden kann. Das Produkt zieht auf tierische  Faser und färbt diese     grünstichig    gelb.
