Device for grinding tenons, cams and the like. The subject of the present invention forms a device for grinding pins, cams and the like, medium-irres endless grinding belt, which runs ben over discs and a grinding table.
In a known device for grinding crank pins circling on a rotating crank, in particular Zap fen of drive wheel sets, a grinding tool is seen on a rocker arm pivotably arranged about a fixed axis, which is driven synchronously with the crank, the rotating crank pin in the swing arm moved back and forth. The grinding tool is designed as an endless belt provided with grinding blocks, which cannot be easily adjusted against the pin.
Fixed grinding machines with grinding belts are also known.
The subject of the invention differs from these known devices in that it has a frame on one part of which the sanding belt, its drive means and the sanding table are mounted, while on its other part a stop is provided which can be adjusted against the sanding device and against which the sanding device is to be sanded Fende work piece is applied, the device rests loosely on the work piece when in use. Is expedient.
the frame men formed from two jointly articulated arms which are adjustable by approaching each other to the size of the workpiece to be ground.
By means of this device it is possible, for example, to grind pin within a very short time, since no time-consuming setting of a machine is required, and to grind precisely. The device is ideal for grinding crank pins of automobile engines, for example for regrinding in repair shops. Cams and valves can also be ground with this device. On the accompanying drawings, embodiments of the subject invention and a detailed variant are shown.
1 shows an elevation of a grinding device with a section through: the crankshaft journal, FIG. 2 shows a floor plan for FIG. 1, and FIG. 3 shows a floor plan with the upper part cut away; 4 shows a variant in section; FIG. 5 is an elevation of a second embodiment, and FIG. 6 is a plan view of FIG. 5.
The two, a frame forming arms 1, 2, the in Figs. 1 to 3 Darge presented grinding device are by means of a pivot pin 3 articulated to each other ver. This pin ä has a collar 4 and can be fastened by means of a nut 5 in a slot 6 of the arm 1 by adjusting it after loosening the nut 5 along the slot 6 and then tightening the nut 5,
whereby a pointer 7 surrounding the pin 3 and guided in the slot 6 allows the setting of the pin 3 to be read on a scale 8. The arm rotatably mounted on the pin 3? Is secured against displacement by a ring 9 attached to the outside of the pin. The arm 1 is designed as an angle lever and it has a longitudinal slot 10 in its middle part, through which screws 11 pass, which serve to fasten a stop 12 made of steel, for example, and two guide pieces 13.
The stop 12 and the guide pieces 13 are intended to receive and guide the crankshaft pin 14 to be ground and the guide pieces 13 are adjustable along the slot 10 depending on the size of the pin 14 be arbitrarily. At the free end of the arm 1, an angle piece 15 is fastened by means of a screw 1: 6 passing through a slot of one leg, so that it is also adjustable with respect to the arm 1 due to its slot. The free leg of the angle piece 15 is designed as a handle 17 and an adjusting screw 18 is attached to it.
The free end of the arm 2 is designed as a handle 19, namely the handles 17 and 19 are in the collapsed state of the two arms 1, 2 opposite each other. An endless sanding belt 20, which runs over disks 21, 22, is arranged on the arm 2. The disk 21 runs loosely on a support pin 23 which, for the purpose of tensioning the grinding belt 20 in a slot 24 of the arm 2, is adjustable by means of a screw 25 and can be fixed by means of the nut 2, 6. The disk 22 is directly connected to the axis of the motor 27 placed on the arm 2 and is driven by this motor. On the side of the frame opposite the motor 27, a counterweight 28 is adjustable on a support arm 29 on the arm 1, with which the clip can be balanced with respect to its longitudinal center plane.
Instead of being attached to arm 1, this counterweight could also be attached to arm 2 opposite the motor. A fixed grinding table 30 is attached by means of a screw 31 to the middle part of the arm 2 lying within the grinding belt 20. As can be seen, the table 30 is arranged in such a way that it presses the grinding belt 20, which slides over it, outwards. This elevated table 30 and the firm tightening of the grinding belt 20 ensure that it is completely vibration-free at the grinding point, so that its grinding effect is the same as that of a large grinding wheel.
On the middle part of the arm 1, a handle consisting of a bulge 32 is also formed for holding the device.
The device described is in particular intended for grinding the pins of cure belwellen, and indeed it is not necessary for grinding that the pins of the crankshaft clamped in a lathe, for example, or placed at the ends on prismatic bearing blocks run zen cally. The device is placed around the pin 14 to be ground by pivoting the arms 1, 2 apart, so that it rests with its stop 12 on the pin 14. The two guide pieces 13 are then inserted and determined in such a way that they rest on the side of the pin 14 with little play.
Furthermore, the pivot pin .3 is set in the slot 6 depending on the size of the pin 14 to be looped, with the aid of pointer 7 and: scale 8, the setting can be read. This setting is made in such a way that the stop 12 and the sanding table 30 are parallel to each other during: sanding. The adjusting screw 18 is then adjusted so that the grinding belt touches the crankshaft pin when the arms are approached. When turning the crankshaft the pin to be ground describes a circular movement and he takes the loosely resting device on him, wel che on the handles 17 and 19 by hand, with.
After a few turns of the crankshaft, the pin is round.
Instead of the drive motor 27 for the grinding belt 20 being arranged directly on the arm 2, the same could, for example, also be arranged on a boom of the arm 2 and the disk 22 driven via a belt. Furthermore, the disc 22 could also be driven by a flexible shaft from a motor not angeord designated on the device.
Appropriately, the design of the grinding device is also such that the axis of the pin to be ground, comprised by the device, lies in the center of gravity of the device, so that the device does not tend to turn to one side during grinding, thereby displacing the device longitudinally : the tenon is facilitated.
For grinding crankshaft journals, which have rounded edges on both sides, it is necessary to avoid the call running of the guide plates on the roundings from the device, because otherwise the sanding belt would get an inclined position and thereby grind grooves in the pin would. Two such stops are shown in FIG. 4, namely the stop 39 is attached to the arm 2 and the adjustable stop 40 to the grinding table 30. Such a stop could also be arranged on the arm 1.
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 5 and 6, a guide plate 46 forming a guide member is formed on the arm 1 of the device, which is wider than the grinding belt and rests on a guide rod 47 which at both ends means: screws 48 on each: a cross member 49 is consolidated. These traverses 49 rest on: the guides 41: of the machine bed and are each fastened to the latter by means of a screw 51.
When the guide rod 47, which forms a guide track for the plate 46, is set exactly parallel to the pin 14 to be grinded and clamped between the tips of the machine, the grinding belt 20 is also guided exactly parallel to this pin. The guide plate slides on the rod 47 when the crank pin is grinded. The stop 12 on the arm 1 in this case only serves as a bezel for precise Rundschlei fen of the pin. On the arm 2 there are in turn: the grinding belt 20, the disks 21, 22 over which it runs, as well as the motor 27 and the iS: chleiftis.ch 30.
The pin to be ground can in this case also be mounted on prismatic brackets instead of on the machine, in which case: the guide rod can also be arranged on brackets, in turn so that it lies parallel to the pin to be ground.
Instead of being fixedly connected to the arm 1, the guide plate 46 could also be arranged adjustably on this arm 1 or on the arm 2. Furthermore, this plate 4: 6 could be replaced by another designed guide member. Instead of being supported by the guide plate, the device could be suspended resiliently at the end of the motor as a handset for the purpose of absorbing its weight and making it easier to use.
For this purpose, for example, a frame can be seen before, which has two adjustable in their distance bearings for receiving the cure belwelle and on the upper extension of the spring Ver hangs to accommodate the weight.
Instead of being hinged together, the two arms 1, 2 could also be firmly connected to each other to form a frame, in which case the stop 12 is slidable and adjustable in its frame part in order to be able to be set on the pin. It is essential that the device, as is the case with the devices shown, rests loosely on the work piece to be ground and allows quick adjustment.
