La fig. 1 est une vue en perspective de face d'une première forme d'exécution du dis positif marqueur pour le jeu de bridge; La fig. 2 en est une vue en perspective de côté; La fig. 3 montre de face une autre forme d'exécution, dans laquelle le dispositif mar queur fait corps avec un cendrier; La fig. 4 est une vue, à plus grande échelle, d'un détail de montage d'une aiguille; La fig. 5 est une vue de face d'un dis positif marqueur suivant une autre forme d'exécution encore, la lunette venant s'appli quer sur le cadran de l'appareil étant sup poser enlevée;
Sur les fig. 5 et E, on a représenté un troisième mode de réalisation de l'invention. Dans ce mode de réalisation, l'aiguille 15, qui sert à la marque des points faits au cours d'une manche par un des camps, est toujours manmuvrée, comme dans le cas du premier mode de réalisation, par un bouton situé sur la face arrière de l'appareil, bouton tel que le bouton 17 de la fig. 2; mais la seconde aiguille 14, au lieu d'être commandée par un bouton tel que le bouton 16 des fig. 1 à 4, situé sur la face avant de l'appareil, est soli daire de la lunette mobile représentée sur la fig. 6;
Marker device for the game of bridge. The present invention relates to a marker device for the game of bridge, characterized in that it comprises a housing, in which is placed a dial provided with windows, behind which can be placed discs bearing indications relating to the mark. of the game of bridge. This device can be established in the form of a compact device, not very bulky, easy to read and use, and giving at any time the respective position of the camps, as well as the indications concerning the request made. With this device, the only things bridge players will have to mark on a sheet of paper will be honors.
In the accompanying drawing, several embodiments of the object of the invention have been shown schematically and by way of example only.
Fig. 1 is a front perspective view of a first embodiment of the marker device for the game of bridge; Fig. 2 is a side perspective view; Fig. 3 shows from the front another embodiment, in which the marking device is integral with an ashtray; Fig. 4 is a view, on a larger scale, of an assembly detail of a needle; Fig. 5 is a front view of a marker device according to yet another embodiment, the bezel coming to be applied to the dial of the apparatus being sup posed removed;
Fig. 6 is a front view of the mobile bezel, which is placed on the dial shown in FIG. 6, and which carries the second needle intended for the scoring of points of a sleeve for one of the camps.
As seen in Figs. 1 to 4 of the drawing, the apparatus comprises a housing 1, in which there is a dial 2 which has five windows 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7; these windows, which have a circular shape in the drawing, could obviously have any other shape. The two lower windows 3 and 4 for example relate to the rounds won by one and the other camp; behind each of the windows can move a disc 8, which is mounted on a friction spring and which can rotate around its axis 9; on this disc are written the numbers 0 and 1, since 1 is the maximum number of rounds; which needs to be marked during the game.
Disc 8 relating to window 3 reserved for one of the camps may carry indications of a certain color (for example blue), while the other disc 8 relating to window 4 of the other camp will carry indications. cations of another color (eg red). The discs 8 protrude slightly, as can be seen in the drawing at 10, on the periphery of the housing 1 and the periphery of the discs in question is preferably knurled; in this way, we can move the disks very easily and very simply behind windows 3 and 4.
Stops can be provided to stop the movement of the disks 8 at their two extreme positions (positions where a 0 or a 1 appear in the windows).
The two windows 5 and 6 are reserved for indicating the requested assets. For this purpose, behind window 5 can move a disc 8 similar to the aforementioned discs 8, but which will bear, instead of the numbers 0 and 1, the four colors clubs, diamonds, coaurs and spades, as well as the indication SA ( meaning without trump). Behind the window 6 moves a disk 8, on which will be figures, for example the figures 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, which will generally be sufficient. When the two disks 8 corresponding to windows 5 and 6 have been activated, the required trumps will be indicated, for example 5, clover, as shown in the drawing.
The two disks 8 in question can also rotate as previously around axes 9 and protrude slightly on the periphery of the housing 1.
Under window 7 can move a disk 11 which will carry the following indications, for example C (counter), SC (overcontrolled). This disc 11 is movable around a pivot 12; it can either protrude slightly on the periphery of the housing 1, like the dikes 8, or else, as shown in the drawing and as indicated in particular in FIG. 2, be controlled by a button 13 placed behind the housing 1.
Dial 2 also bears at its periphery the series of numbers from 6 to 29 (or any other suitable graduation) as can be seen in particular in FIGS. 1 to 3. This series of numbers will suffice to mark the points of each side for the calculation of the innings; it is obvious that it is sufficient that this series of numbers starts at 6 since the minimum demand is a clover, and that it stops at 29 since when a side has 30 it scores an inning. It should be noted that the number 11 does not appear since it can never be obtained; all this in the case of the French graduation.
In front of this series of numbers can move two needles 14 and 15 which relate one to one of the camps and the other to the other camp. For this purpose, they can be of different colors (for example blue and red).
The needle 14 is operated for example by a button 16 placed on the front of the device, while the needle 15 can be operated by a button 17 placed behind the marker. If desired, both buttons can be placed on the same side.
In fig. 4, there is shown, by way of example only, a method of mounting the button 16 and the needle 14 in a glass plate 18 which is located on the front of the case 1, above the dial 2. As as can be seen, the button can be held between two ferrules 19 and 20, with the interposition, if desired, of small rubber washers 21, these ferrules screwing onto the threaded part 22 integral with the pin 23 carrying the guille 14. Between the means of the needle 14 and the ferrule 20 can be placed a small spring 20, which has the effect of always keeping the needle in place.
The needle 15 and the button 17 can be mounted in the same way, a spring 24 being, for example, also provided to properly hold the needle in the position given to it. It is obvious, moreover, that any other device for mounting the needle could be adopted.
As can be seen in the drawing and in particular in FIG. 2, the housing 1 is mounted in an inclined position on a support 25 of any desired shape. This inclination of the case allows easier reading of the indications carried by the bridge marker.
The case which has been shown with a round shape could also have any other shape, in particular a poly gonal shape; it can be part of an ashtray, a box of cards or any other useful object for the game.
In fig. 5 and E, there is shown a third embodiment of the invention. In this embodiment, the needle 15, which serves to mark the points made during a round by one of the camps, is always operated, as in the case of the first embodiment, by a button located on the sleeve. rear face of the device, button such as button 17 in fig. 2; but the second needle 14, instead of being controlled by a button such as the button 16 of FIGS. 1 to 4, located on the front face of the device, is integral with the mobile bezel shown in FIG. 6;
for example, this needle can be simply painted, in red for example, on the rear part of the glass plate 18 of the bezel, but it could be attached to said plate 18 in any other way. This glass plate 18 is crimped into a ring 30 carrying at its periphery a knurled portion 31. The assembly of the plate 18 and the ring 30 constitutes a bezel, which can be placed on the dial of the device and which can turn on a bearing surface of housing 1.
Thanks to this arrangement, the drilling of the glass plate 18 in its center for mounting the operating button 16 is avoided; in addition, the center of the apparatus is completely clear, which is, on the one hand, more convenient from the point of view of visibility and what; on the other hand, is more pleasing to the eye.
This arrangement can be applied not only in a dial apparatus, such as that shown in FIG. 5 (for the bridge-lilafond and for the bridge-Contrat), but also on an apparatus such as that shown in Figs. 1 to 4 and which relates to the bridge-ceiling only.
Furthermore, in the embodiment shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, the dial itself; instead of having the only graduation 6 to 29 for the scoring of points made during a round by each of the camps playing ceiling bridge, also bears a second concentric graduation 32, which allows to use also device for the contract bridge.
The discs 8 moving in front of the windows 3 and 4, instead of bearing, as in the case of FIGS. 1 to 4, simply the indications 0 and 1, will carry the indications 0, V and 1, the letter V being intended to indicate that one of the camps is vulnerable.
The apparatus also comprises, as before, three other disks 8 moving in front of the windows 5, 6 and 7 and intended to indicate respectively the requested color; the number of folds requested and the counter and possibly overcontact. All these discs 8 are controlled by the fact that their periphery is knurled and protrudes slightly outside the housing 1.
Said apparatus can, moreover, as in the case of the preceding embodiments, form an integral part of an ashtray or with any other object likely to find use on a gaming table.
It is understood that the embodiments of the invention which have just been described and which are shown in the appended drawing, have only been given by way of example, and only modifications relating to the shapes, on the relative dimensions and on the maneuvering means of the various members can be made without departing from the scope of the invention.
