Smoke generator for smokehouse. The subject matter of the invention relates to a smoke generator for Räucherkam numbers, which has a horizontal and fixed grate provided above for the purpose of uninterrupted supply of raucherzeu ing material, with an opening provided container for receiving the smoke-generating material.
There are smoke generators of this type in which the smoke-generating material cannot be evenly distributed during the operation of the smoke generator, which has the disadvantage that the quality of the smoke produced varies depending on the type and nature of the smoke-generating material and can be so inferior that the smoke produced is unusable for smoking food.
On the basis of practical tests it has been found that if a high quality smoke is to be generated, it is important to avoid that cavities can form in the glow zone during operation. It is also important to distribute the smoke-generating material evenly without hindering automatic refilling.
For this purpose, the characteristic of the invention is that with Ab was above the grate in a horizontal plane rotatable arms are arranged one above the other, of which the upper arms carry flexible members to the continuously falling smoke-generating material evenly over the grate distribute, while the lower arms are used to destroy the cavities formed by the smoldering process in the glow zone of the smoke-generating material.
This structural configuration offers the advantage that the layer height of the raucherzeu ing material is always uniformly maintained over the entire grate cross-section and cavities in the annealing zone are avoided with certainty and all glowed areas, respectively. small fire holes are covered with freshly supplied material as soon as they arise, so that flames cannot develop.
In the drawing, an embodiment example of the subject invention is shown in a vertical section.
The smoke generator shown has an outer jacket 1 which is lined with fireproof material 2 in the fire zone. Below half of the refractory material, a grate 3 serving to hold the smoke-generating material is arranged in a stationary manner and is penetrated by a rotatably mounted axle 4. The upper end 5 of the axis 4 serves as a carrier of arms 6, 7 one above the other, which are secured against rotation with the axis 4, but are arranged to be adjustable in height. The arms 6 serve to continually destroy the cavities that may be formed in the glow zone of the smoke-generating material, while the arms 7 evenly distribute the smoke-generating material automatically falling from a feed pipe 8, 9 arranged concentrically to the axis 4 over the grate 3.
For this purpose, 7 resilient, designed as chains 10 links are attached to the arms. The arms 6, 7 are driven by an electric motor 11, which drives a bevel gear 15 via a gear drive 12, 13 and a countershaft 14, the latter cooperating with a bevel gear 16 rigidly attached to the axis 4. So that the axis 4 is not adversely affected by the embers of the smoke-producing material, it is surrounded by an insulating jacket 17 just above the grate 3.
The raucherzeu ing material is fed through the tube 8, 9, the lower part 8 of which is adjustable in height and for this purpose is provided with two opposing slots 18, which are each penetrated by a pin 19 fixed to the part 9 rigidly BE. The pipe part 8 thus hangs on the pins 19. Since the slots 18 are now inclined, the height of the pipe part 8 can be adjusted by a short rotary movement. In order to allow convenient handling when adjusting the height of the part 8, he is provided with hand 20, which are accessible through a flap 21 arranged on the Man tel 1. The interior of the lower part of the smoke generator is accessible through a second flap 22.
The ash remaining from the smoke generating material is also removed through the flap 22.
If the smoke generator described is to be put into operation, then the smoke-generating material lying directly on the grate 3 is made to glow and is kept glowing by the air flow generated by a fan 23. The fan 23 is through a pipe 24 and openings 25, which are arranged in a plate 26 covering the upper part of the smoke generator, with the interior of the smoke generator, so that the smoke generated is sucked off at the highest point by the ventilator and its use purpose is supplied. It is continuously fed from a storage silo 27 as much smoke-generating material as is consumed ver.
The chips falling from part 8 are distributed evenly over the grate by the movable chains 10 of the arms 7.
