L'installation comportele phare habituel 8 destinéà donner un éclairage intense et une lampe9 d'intensité faible; tous deux sont alimentés au moyen de la source10, par l'intermédiaire de Finterrupteur Il coin- prenant un contact mobile lla commandé par l'enroulement 4 et deux contacts fixes 11b et llc. Un tube 12 fermé par une lentille13 contient une cellule photo-électrique 1, et entre celle-ci et la lentille, une lampe7 reliée à la source10 par l'intermédiaire d'un trem bleur électrique5;
Lighting installation for -vehicle. The object of the present invention is a lighting installation for a vehicle, capable of emitting either strong light or non-glare light and comprising a photoelectric cell which causes the extinction of the dazzling light when a foreign light hits the cell. This installation is characterized by a tube containing a lens and the photoelectric cell, a light source being placed between the latter and the lens.
The attached drawing represents, by by way of example, an embodiment of the object of said invention.
The only figure in the drawing is a diagram of this embodiment.
The installation includes the usual 8 lighthouse intended to give intense lighting and a 9 lamp of low intensity ; both are supplied by means of the source 10, via the switch Il taking a movable contact 11a controlled by the winding 4 and two fixed contacts < B> 11b and llc. A tube 12 closed by a lens 13 contains a photocell 1, and between this and the lens, a lamp 7 connected to the source 10 through an electric trem bleur 5;
this shaker closes the circuit of the lamp 7, five to eight times per second. A 6 rheostat is used to adjust the intensity of the 7 lamp.
The phpto-electric cell 1 is part of a circuit supplied by a current source presenting a potentiometer 3 and wedge taking a winding 2, which acts on the mobile switch 2a of a high current circuit; in this is placed the winding 4 which acts, with a delay, on the switch 11.
Normally, the headlight 8, powered by the source 10, lights the road; contact Ila of switch 11 is then engaged with contact M. If another car, with the headlight on, arrives in the opposite direction, the light from this headlight , concentrated by lens 13 on cell 1, produces a variation in the electrical resistance of the latter, which activates relay 2-2a; the winding 4 then acts on the switch 11 and brings the contact 11a into engagement with the contact 11c; the 8 headlight stops being supplied and the low intensity lamp is on.
The 7 lamp, by its intermittent illumination, maintains the 1 cell in a state of excitation and allows it to act instantly when it receives the light from the headlight.
