Zusatzpatent zum Hauptpatent Nr. 166790. Verfahren zur Darstellung eines neuen Farbstoffes der Anthraehinonreihe. Das vorliegende Verfahren betrifft die Darstellung eines neuen Farbstoffes der An thrachinonreihe und ist dadurch gekennzeich net, da.ss man 1-Amino-4-p-toIuidoa,nthraehi- non-2-sulfosäure mit Salpetersäure behandelt. <I>Beispiel:</I> 8,6 Teile 1-amino-4-p-toluidoanthrachinon- 2-sulfosaures Natrium werden in 50 Teilen Monohydrat gelöst und bei einer Temperatur um 0 mit 5,2 Teilen Mischsäure<B>50%</B> be handelt.
Zum Beenden der Reaktion erwärmt man auf 50 .
Der Farbstoff löst sich in Wasser rötlich braun und in Schwefelsäure gelb. Er stellt einen grauschwarzen Körper dar und färbt tierische Faser in braunbeigen Tönen an.

The present process relates to the preparation of a new dye of the anthrachinone series and is characterized in that 1-amino-4-p-toiuidoa, nthraehinon-2-sulfonic acid is treated with nitric acid. <I> Example: </I> 8.6 parts of 1-amino-4-p-toluidoanthraquinone-2-sulfonic acid sodium are dissolved in 50 parts of monohydrate and mixed with 5.2 parts of mixed acid at a temperature of around 0%. </B> treated.

The dye dissolves reddish brown in water and yellow in sulfuric acid. It represents a gray-black body and stains animal fibers in brown-beige tones.
