Description

Finned tube heat exchange device. The invention relates to a finned tube heat exchange device, the fins of which are disc-shaped. The aim of the invention is to create a device of this type in which the desired distance between the ribs is maintained and at the same time a lively heat exchange between the ribs and the tube can be achieved. For this purpose, according to the present invention, the connection of the ribs to the tube and the spacing of the ribs by means of tongues which are bent out of each rib alternately in opposite directions takes place. The tongues can expediently be connected to the pipe by galvanizing.

In the drawing, an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is illustrated as an example, namely: Fig. 1 is a diagrammatic view of a rib of the device, at the same time illustrating the tongues alternately bent up and down from their plane, Fig. 2 shows a section along the line 11-II of Fig. 3, and Fig. 3 is a side view of the finned tube heat exchange device.

1 denotes a tube and 2 are disc-shaped ribs. From the plane of each of these ribs 2, tongues 3 are alternately in the opposite direction, i.e. in the manner which can be seen particularly well in FIG. H. alternately up and down, animal arched. The bending of the tongues 3 takes place at such points of the ribs 1 and these tongues 3 are of such a length that they, after they have been pushed into the required position on the tube 1, lie snugly against the tube 1 and their ends just touch it, as the latter is shown at points 4 in FIG. In order to obtain the required rigid connection between the tube 1 and the ribs 2, after the ribs 2 have been brought into the required position, the whole thing is immersed in a zinc bath.

The tongues 3, which are firmly connected to the pipe 1, ensure the desired spacing of the ribs 2. At the same time, these tongues 3 support the flow of heat from the pipe 1 to the ribs 2 or vice versa, since the surface contact between pipe 1 and tongues 3 as also between the latter and the ribs 2 is large. The finned tube heat exchange device described offers the further advantage that its production is simple and cheap.

The fixed connection of the tongues 3 with the pipe 1. Can also be achieved by welding, soldering or the like of these parts.
