Description
Radiator with radiation lamellas fastened next to each other on a heating pipe The invention relates to a radiator of the type known per se in which on the of the heating means, e.g. B. hot water, steam or hot air flowed through Radiation fins attached to each other are arranged next to each other.
In known radiators with radiation fins attached to the heating pipe are these as flat, mostly circular disks made of sheet iron or cast iron formed, which when the heating pipe is arranged in the form of a loop or the like. are arranged on the pipe legs independently of one another. Such slats are often difficult to clean and bend easily when they are made from sheet metal, while such slats made of cast iron are sensitive to impact and often break out at the edges.
There are also convection heaters known in which on The lamellas sitting on the heating pipe are formed on the underside and on the top of open air ducts are. In radiators of this type, there is no significant occurrence within the air ducts Heat dissipation through radiation, on the other hand there is a strong accumulation of hot air the living space ceiling instead.
Finally, the heating medium has completely flowed through it, in the Mainly known as radiator radiators, which although in the heating effect, but often expensive to manufacture and relatively are difficult. According to the invention are in a radiator with on a heating pipe radiation lamellas attached next to each other, the latter in pairs on their whole Perimeter connected to each other and form closed hollow bodies. The hollow body can have a rounded shape similar to the links of ordinary radiators, so that the conditions with regard to heat radiation, cleaning and appearance are just as cheap as radiators. On the other hand are completely from the heating medium Flowing through links avoided, as only the actual heating pipe from the heating medium is traversed, so that a pressure tightness of the hollow body is not required and the risk of freezing is low. Also the weight of the new radiator is relatively small because the hollow body is made of relatively thin sheet metal which can be made of metal, which is particularly good at conducting heat, z. B. made of copper. There is a risk of bending or breaking off of the lamellas excluded due to their paired connection to form closed hollow bodies. Finally, opposite the convection heaters provided with open air ducts the proportion of radiant heat compared to convection heat and thermal radiation to the lower room air and at the same time the amount of air through the radiator The amount of air passing through it is reduced, so that the radiator at low water content and low metal weight essentially than an ordinary one Radiator with water-filled ribs works.
The hollow bodies formed by the lamellae can according to the invention , closed at their upper and lower ends by removable lid-like caps or of two connected to each other around the edges in any way Sheet metal shells with an exterior similar to the links of ordinary radiators Form be made.
The drawing illustrates the subject matter of the invention using an exemplary embodiment and shows the new radiator in perspective.
According to the invention, on the heating pipe i, which is designed in the form of a loop -closed hollow bodies z arranged, which are made in pairs on their entire circumference There are interconnected fins with flanges 3 on the heating pipe are attached. The hollow bodies have one of the links of ordinary radiators similar external shape on .. They are at their upper and lower ends by removable, lid-like caps provided with a rim 3 q. locked.
