Dans cette bouche sont disposées, l'une derrière l'autre,@deux pièces annulaire 5 et 6; la pièce arrière 5 est figée par des consoles 7 à la. paroi du carter; elle est tronconique et est disposée de façon que sa section droite aille en diminuant, dans la direction de sor tie de la flamme; la pièce 6 est également tronconique, mais elle est disposée -de façon que sa section .droite aille en augmentant dans la direction -de sortie de la flamme;
Burner for liquid fuel. The object of the present invention is a burner for liquid fuel, comprising an injector surrounded by a casing. This burner is characterized by an annular part placed in the outlet opening of the casing and mounted so as to be able to move away from or close to the edges of this opening, with the aim of adjusting the dimensions of the flame.
The accompanying drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the present invention.
Figs. 1 and 2 are two axial sections 90 from each other, FIG. 3 showing a detail on a larger scale.
The burner shown comprises an injector 1 supplied with liquid fuel by means of a pipe 2 placed in the longitudinal axis of a cylindrical casing 3. The latter is -destined to be fixed in the. wall of a fireplace, so that its. mouth 4 penetrates inside the latter.
In this mouth are arranged, one behind the other, @ two annular parts 5 and 6; the rear part 5 is fixed by consoles 7 to. housing wall; it is frustoconical and is arranged so that its cross section decreases in the direction of exit of the flame; part 6 is also frustoconical, but it is arranged so that its section .right goes increasing in the direction of the flame;
this part 6 is fixed with two rods 8 and 9 sliding along the walls of the casing and one of which, 8, passes through the bottom of this casing by a threaded portion 10; on the latter can turn a nut 11, mounted in the bottom of the housing, so as not to be able to slide, and provided with an operating button 12. When turning the latter, it communicates to the annular part 6- a translational movement, parallel to the axis of the injector.
1: 3 is a pipe serving as a non-adjustable inlet for combustion air; holes 14, made in the bottom of the casing and cooperating with a rotary shutter 15, serve as an adjustable inlet for this combustion air; i16 shows one of the electrodes for smoking the combustible mixture, and 17 is a basket of electrical connections.
In fig. 1, the movable annular part 6 rests on the solid annular part 5, and the combustible mixture and air exit the casing only through the central orifice 18, which produces a relatively long and narrow flame.
Suppose that part 6 is moved away from the edges -of the opening -of the casing, as shown in fig. 2, the air will pass between the annular part 5 and the wall of the casing then, on the one hand, will penetrate into the annular part 6, where it reaches the center of the flame and, on the other hand, will bypass this part 6 to then penetrate to the periphery of this flame.
Experience shows that this produces a shorter and wider flame than the previous one. By maneuvering -du ton 12, it is therefore possible to obtain the desired dimensions -of the flame for a fireplace of given size.
