Fourneau à gaz de pétrole. .
Oil gas stove. . The object of the present invention is a petroleum gas furnace, the petroleum container of which is provided with a pipe forming an extensible spiral disposed below the container, the latter being able to move vertically, the lower end of said container. pipe being extended so as to bring the petroleum into a gasification device from which the petroleum gas is injected inside a cap provided with an atmospheric air intake and covered by a burner, the cap and the burner being underlying the gasification device.
Figs. 1 and 2 of the accompanying drawing show, by way of example; an embodiment of the object of the invention; Fig. 1 is a partial longitudinal section of it, along A-B of FIG. 2; Fig. 2 is a plan view.
The base 1, preferably made of stamped sheet metal, comprises towards one of its ends a vertical cylinder 2 inside which can slide a container 3 intended to contain petroleum. The wall of the cylinder 2 has a longitudinal slot 4 in which can run a threaded rod 5 riveted at one end to the container 3, and on the other end of which is screwed a hand nut 6, the tightening of which makes it possible to immobilize the container 3 inside the cylinder 2 at the desired height.
At the bottom of the container 3 is fixed the end of a metal tube wound in the form of an extensible spiral 7, while the other end of the latter is fixed in the recess of the base 1 by means of a flange 8; thanks to the extensibility of the spiral 7, the container 3 can slide inside its housing; thus, by lowering or raising the container 3, it is respectively possible to decrease or increase the pressure of oil reaching towards the lower end of the tube of the spiral 7.
The tube of the spiral 7 is extended towards its lower part and rises vertically to come to be connected to one end of the petroleum gasification device 9, which is formed of two pipes arranged parallel at a certain distance from each other. and joining at both ends; during its passage through the gasification device 9, the petroleum is heated to the necessary temperature by means of a device described below, so as to transform it into the gaseous state; Towards the other end of the device 9 is fixed by means of the connector 10, a tube 11, the lower end of which is closed, but comprises a calibrated orifice 12 allowing the exit of the petroleum gas.
The base 1 is provided with cast iron supports 13, 13 ', 13 "... the upper part of which is intended to support the cooking utensils; said supports are also each provided with a support arm 14 whose end has a vertical rod 15.
A cast iron cap 16 rests by its lugs 17, 17 ', 17 "... on the support arms 14, the cap f6 being held in this position by the rods 15 which are housed in holes made in the lugs 17, 17 '....
The wall of the cap 16 comprises towards its lower part a pipe 18 made of cast iron with the cap, and the outer opening of which is located opposite and at a certain distance from the orifice 12 for the outlet of the petroleum gas; the pipe 18 is intended to convey the petroleum gas as well as the atmospheric air inside the cap 16. The upper part of the cap 16 is provided with a cast iron burner 19, of circular shape, which comprises a number of holes 20 putting the inside of the cap 16 in communication with the outside; the holes 20 of the burner 19 are sufficiently close together for the flame to communicate from one hole to the other so as to give the whole of the flame the shape of a dome with a surface area equivalent to all of the holes.
The outer surface of the burner 19 further comprises, located at its center, a heater 21 constituted by a rectangular shaped recess and arranged so as to be located perpendicularly below the gasification device 9; the heater 21 is designed to contain a flammable liquid such as burning alcohol, benzine etc., the combustion of which has the effect of heating the gasification device 9 located above the heater 21 and thus allowing the ignition of the flame.
The flame of the burner 19 is extinguished by fully lowering the receptacle 3 so that in this position of the receptacle 3, the gasification device 9 is by its position located substantially above the highest level of the gasification device. oil contained in receptacle 3; in this way, the level of oil circulating in the vertical pipe leading to the device 9 is found to be lower than the latter, and causes the flame to go out by default of fuel supply.
Otherwise, either by raising the container 3, the pressure of the oil entering the gasification device 9 is increased, which has the effect of increasing the gasification of the oil and, consequently, the flame; thus, the container 3 acts as a flame regulator, depending on the height at which it is located.
The operation of the apparatus is as follows: After having poured a certain quantity of flammable liquid into the heater 21, the combustion of which has the effect of heating the gasification device 9, it suffices to raise the container 3 to a certain height. so that the oil can enter the gasification device 9; the petroleum gas thus produced escapes through the orifice 12 and enters the interior of the pipe 18 where said gas mixes with atmospheric air and from which this mixture spreads inside the chamber 16 , to finally escape through the holes 20 of the burner 19 where combustion of the mixture occurs forming a flame having the shape of a dome.
Since the gasification device is located above the flame, the gasification of the oil continues automatically.
