la position du pointeau 7 étant réglée à la construction, comme aussi la position d'un cône 11 d'aspira tion d'air. Ce dispositif de jet de pulvérisation donne de très bons résultats; il produit une auréole du mélange pulvérisé et resserre le cône de pulvérisation;
Des électro-aimants 21 et 22 permettent le fonctionnement automatique du brûleur. Ces électro-aimants sont destinés à faire bas culer un levier 23 dans un sens ou dans l'au tre sous l'action d'un thermostat û commande mécanique quelconque connue;
Burner for liquid fuel. The subject of the invention is a burner for liquid fuel.
The attached drawing shows, by way of example, an embodiment of this burner, of a simple and robust construction, without the use of materials other than metal, in all places where these other materials are not very windy. have drawbacks, being in contact with fluids.
Figs. 1 and 2 are vertical longitudinal sections, fig. 1 showing a diffuser to be attached and fixed by bolts 1 to the housing 2, fig. 2, covering all of the burner adjustment members.
Fig. 3 shows, separately, on a larger scale, seen from the end, a needle 3 in the shape of a cone, the base of which is wider than the rod 5 of this needle, this rod being adjustable in a second tubular needle 4 carrying fins 6 in contact with the interior wall of a third tubular needle 7. The fins of the rod 5 are also in contact with the interior of the needle 4. FIG. '4 is, on a smaller scale, a view from behind of the burner assembly.
By known means, the spraying agent, for example air, and the liquid fuel are brought to the burner, the first by a pipe 8, the second by a pipe 9. The pipe 8 communicates with the free space between the body of the needle 7 of larger diameter and that of the needle 4, while the channel 9 communicates with the free space between the body of the needle 4 and the rod 5 of the inner needle 3, this rod can be screwed more or less into a fixed part 10 with a cable gland, so as to adjust both the passage space of the fuel and the air passage space,
the position of the needle 7 being adjusted during construction, as also the position of an air suction cone 11. This spray jet device gives very good results; it produces a halo of the spray mixture and tightens the spray cone;
the fuel passes all around the base of the cone .3, the air from the pipe -8 passes all around this cone 3 and, finally, the air coming into the open cone 11 producing a suction of the spark plugs 13 (fig. 1), the latter may thus not end at the axis of the burner and therefore be far enough away from the center of the jet so as not to clog.
As for the fouling of the interior walls of the diffuser, it is swept by the air blower which occurs around a ring 14 of cone 11.
At 15 (fig. 1) and 16 (fig. 2) are partitioned devices, intended to dampen the operating noise of the burner considerably. Each of these devices comprises two groups of partitions which can be more or less close to each other. A screw 17 and a screw 18 each pass through a groove of a crown 19, an eccentric groove so as to cause this crown to move longitudinally when it is rotated through a greater or lesser angle.
At 20 (FIG. 2) is a useful opening for reaching the members to be adjusted during assembly, but it is intended to be recou green by a metal strip which is maintained by elasticity.
Electromagnets 21 and 22 allow automatic operation of the burner. These electromagnets are intended to cause a lever 23 to move in one direction or the other under the action of a thermostat û any known mechanical control;
the movement of the lever 23 has the effect of rotating in one direction or the other, through the intermediary of connecting rods 24, 25, the threaded rod 5 of the cone 3 forming the internal needle and, consequently, of automatically adjusting the air and fuel flows, the whole being arranged so that the outlet of the latter is never but closed completely so that the burner, instead of going out, remains on standby, which is easily achievable at 'Using a stop corresponding to the minimum flow, another stop may correspond to the maximum so that a determined calorific power is not exceeded.
In the embodiments where the adjustment is not automatic and is done by hand, it is preferable, when stopping operation, to completely close the fuel outlet, which prevents any seepage.
