Bike hub with dynamo and hub brake. The present invention relates to a bicycle hub with a dynamo and a hub brake, which is designed in such a way that these two devices are included in it, the dynamo gearbox and the brake being installed in an enlarged part of the hub.
The object of the present invention is shown in an exemplary embodiment in the accompanying drawing, namely: FIG. 1 shows a vertical section parallel to the axis of the hub, FIG. 2 shows a cross section along the line 4-B in FIG. 1 and FIG Cross section along the line CD in FIG. 1.
1 is the front axle of a bicycle, 2 and 3 are nuts with which the washers 4 and 5 on the one hand against balls 6 that abut against a shoulder in the hub 7, and on the other hand against balls 8 that against a ring 9 in the hub part 7a rest against, be pressed. The hub 7 is widened at 7a. In this extension of the hub 7a, the drive wheels of the dynamo are net angeord, consisting of a ring 10 with internal teeth, which on the. Part 7a of the hub 7 is attached to the two coupled gears 11 and 12, which are rotatably mounted on the axle 13 of the disc 5 fixed on the front axle 1.
The gear wheel 12 meshes with the ring gear 10, the gear wheel 11 with the gear wheel 14 that is rotatable on the axis 1 , which is slidably mounted in the disc 5, engages.
On the opposite side, the gear 14 is connected to the dynamo armature 17, the training of which is not shown in the drawing voltage. 18 are the magnets with the windings 19 of the Dy namo, which are attached to a bell-shaped support that is wedged on the axis 1. 20 is the line that leads from the dynamo through a bore in axis 1 to the lantern.
The brake is installed in the free space of the hub extension 7a. At the fixed in the disc 5 pin 21, the two brake shoes 22 and 28 are pivotally attached bar. At the bottom, where the ends of the brake shoes converge, there is a flap 24 which is fastened to the axis 25 rotatably mounted in the disk 5. 26 is a spring that pulls the two brake shoes together.
If you turn the lever 27, which is connected to the axis 25 and thereby to the flap 24, the two brake jaws are pressed outward against the rotating hub 7a, whereby the hub BEZW. the bike is braked.
If the gear 14 is in engagement with the gear 11, the armature 17 rotates, and because the windings 19 respectively. the magnets 18 of the dynamo are stationary, a voltage is induced in the windings 19, which is used to illuminate the bicycle lamp. If, on the other hand, you want to turn off the lighting device, all you need to do is pull the elbow 16, and the gear 14 disengages from the gear 11, whereby the dynamo armature is put out of operation.
By removing the removable disc 5, the dynamo, its gearbox and the brake can be exposed.
