Automatic watch movement winding device. The subject of the invention is an automatic device for winding a watch movement, mainly a wristwatch, the mainspring of which is wound by means of a mass driven by a movement oscillating by the jolts received by the watch.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, one embodiment of this device. Fig. 1 is an elevation view thereof. Fig. 2 is a sectional view along II-II of FIG. 1.
The usual movement not shown is fixed in a free location 1, the barrel ratchet of this movement is intended to be driven by the rotation of a wheel 4 meshing with a pinion 3 integral with a toothed wheel 2 itself engaged. with a pinion 5 integral with a ratchet wheel 6 rotated by the movement of a pawl 7 articulated on a part 8 comprising an arm 9, and which carried by a sec tor 10 capable of oscillating around a axis 11, is itself capable of oscillating about an axis 12. A spring 13 bears against the arm 9 and a spring 14 bears against the pawl 7..
The thin sector 10 is integral with a thick crown segment 15, constituting an oscillating mass moving between a circle 16 frozen with respect to a circular cage 18, and a circle 17 of this cage. Balls 19 are housed in cells of the mass 15. The oscillating movement of the latter is limited by abutment surfaces 20, 21 of a ring segment which, fixed to the cage 18, is integral with a sector 24 and a sector 25 between which are located the axes of the wheels and pinions indicated above. The shocks are damped by elastic buffers 22, 23, for example with springs, not shown, in cavities of mass 15.
The pawl mounting arrangement leaves a certain freedom of movement to the mass when the mainspring is fully re-assembled. The winding mechanism constitutes a set of components independent of the cage and of the movement.
