Emballage pour cigarettes on autres articles semblables. L'invention se rapporte à un emballage pour cigarettes ou autres articles semblables en particulier à un emballage bon marché couvant contenir cinq cigarettes ou plus, éta bli pour pouvoir être fermé et ensuite ouvert facilement, tout en ayant l'avantage de mieux protéger les articles à y loger sans porter préjudice aux avantages des boîtes d'embal lage ordinaires pouvant contenir la même quantité de cigarettes.
Il a été de coutume, lorsqu'il s'agissait d'emballer des articles plus économiquement qu'il n'est possible en employant des boîtes en carton, d'emballer les articles dans un pa pier d'emballage extérieur, et dans quelques cas une enveloppe additionnelle ou doublure intérieure en papier de soie, en étain, où les deux sont employées en addition à l'enve loppe extérieure.
Toutefois, comme un em ballage de ce genre est faible, celui-ci s'est montré désavantageux au point de vue de la protection du contenu contre tout écrasement, et, en outre, l'emballage se froisse et se dé chire facilement, donnant lieu ainsi à des difficultés pour en sortir les article. Dais, l'emballage suivant l'invention il n'est pa nécessaire ou désirable de prévoir de doublure intérieure telle que celle dont on a. parlé ci- dessus.
L'emballage suivant l'invention comporl @, une enveloppe rectangulaire. de section en U. fermée au fond, établie par exemple en pa pier ou autre matière semblable et renforcée au moyen d'un cadre rectangulaire en matière rigide, un organe étant prévu dans celle-ci. par exemple un prolongement d'une des bran ches dudit cadre, pour permettre d'ouvrir fa cilement l'emballage en vue d'en sortir faci lement les articles y logés, sans porter préju dice à la stabilité transversale de l'emballage.
De préférence, le cadre rectangulaire en matière rigide précité est disposé à l'intérieur de l'emballage d'une manière indépendante de l'enveloppe extérieure, c'est-à-dire de façon à pouvoir être déplacé dans celle-ci lorsque l'emballage est ouvert, les plis latéraux de l'enveloppe étant disposés de telle façon que chaque prolongement latéral de la base de 1'"U" soit rabattu entre des plis formés par les prolongements latéraux correspondant des branches de 1'"U".
Le dessin annexé représente, à titre d'exemple, une forme d'exécution de l'objet de la présente invention.
La fig. 1 en est une vue perspective l'emballage étant fermé, et La fig. 2 est une coupe transversale par l'emballage ouvert.
L'emballage représenté au .dessin comporte une enveloppe rectangulaire de section en<B>U,</B> fermée au fond, 1, par exemple en papier, dans laquelle est placée une bande de renfor cement, par exemple en carton d'une largeur correspondant à l'épaisseur de l'emballage et d'une longueur .dépassant légèrement celle qui est nécessaire pour entourer une charge de cigarettes juxtaposées le long de ses côtés 'étroits. La bouche de l'enveloppe 1 est disposée pour s'étendre au delà de l'extrémité des ci garettes enveloppées, à une longueur corres pondant à peu près à l'épaisseur de l'embal lage ou au cas d'un emballage ne contenant qu'une seule rangée de cigarettes, au dia mètre d'une de ces cigarettes.
La bande de renforcement précitée est pliée en forme de U, de façon qu'une bran che 2, de cette bande ait une longueur égale à la longueur d'une cigarette, tandis que son autre branche 3, présente une longueur égale à la longueur d'une cigarette, plus une lon gueur égale à la largeur d'une rangée de cigarettes juxtaposées dans l'emballage, plus encore une petite longueur additionnelle d'en viron 3 mm par exemple.
L'extrémité ouverte de l'emballage est fermée en rabattant le bout latéral 4 de l'en veloppe 1. à proximité de la branche de la bande de renforcement qui est de longueur égale à celle des cigarettes, sur les extrémités supérieures de ces dernières. Le bout latéral opposé 5 .de l'enveloppe 1 est ensuite rabattu de manière similaire, et en procédant ainsi, la portion de prolongement 6 de la bande de renforcement est simultanément rabattue au travers de l'extrémité ouverte de l'emballage, une petite lèvre 7 s'étendant alors au delà de la face latérale étroite correspondante de l'emballage.
Après avoir effectué le rabatte- ment .des deux bouts latéraux opposés 4 et. 5 de l'emballage ainsi que celui de la portion de prolongement 6 de la bande de renforce ment, on procède au rabattement des pans b et 9 des longs côtés de l'emballage et à leur fixation en place au moyen d'un adhésif.
Il en résulte qu'on obtient un emballage fermé ayant une apparence similaire aux em ballages de papier ordinaires, mais qui est garni d'une bande de renforcement en carton dont une extrémité fait saillie sur une face latérale de l'emballage, cette bande en carton étant indépendante de l'enveloppe extérieure de l'emballage, c'est-à-dire qu'elle peut être déplacée par rapport à cette dernière, de fa çon que lorsque l'emballage est ouvert, le contenu peut en être enlevé par soulèvement d'une extrémité de la bande de renforcement.
Le consommateur peut facilement saisir la lèvre saillante 7 du cadre de renforcement en carton et déchirer la portion de fermeture supérieure de l'emballage, tout en soulevant en même temps les cigarettes hors de l'env e- loppe de la manière indiquée à la fig. 2, de façon à les rendre facilement accessibles. Le consommateur peut ensuite arracher la por tion superflue -du cadre en carton, laissant ainsi un cornet ouvert du genre usuel bien connu, mais qui a l'avantage que le cadre de renforcement y logé constitue un moyen de protection contre l'écrasement du contenu.
Grâce à la manière dont les plis de l'en veloppe extérieure sont formés, le cadre et, par conséquent, les cigarettes peuvent être repoussées dans l'enveloppe après en avoir été retirées, attendu qu'il n'y a aucun pan sail lant à l'intérieur de celle-ci.
L'emballage décrit ci-dessus a l'avantage de pouvoir être fabriqué à bon marché tout en possédant la rigidité d'une boîte établie entièrement en carton ou autre matière sem blable.

The packaging according to the invention comporl @, a rectangular envelope. The opposite side end 5 of the envelope 1 is then folded back in a similar manner, and in doing so, the extension portion 6 of the reinforcement strip is simultaneously folded back through the open end of the packaging, a small lip 7 then extending beyond the corresponding narrow lateral face of the packaging.
After having folded the two opposite side ends 4 and. 5 of the packaging as well as that of the extension portion 6 of the reinforcing strip, the panels b and 9 of the long sides of the packaging are folded down and fixed in place by means of an adhesive.
As a result, a closed package is obtained which has an appearance similar to ordinary paper packages, but which is lined with a cardboard reinforcing strip, one end of which protrudes from a side face of the package, this strip made of cardboard. carton being independent of the outer casing of the packaging, that is to say that it can be moved relative to the latter, so that when the packaging is opened, the contents can be removed by lifting of one end of the reinforcement strip.
The consumer can easily grasp the protruding lip 7 of the cardboard reinforcing frame and tear the upper closing portion of the package, while at the same time lifting the cigarettes out of the envelope as shown in fig. . 2, so as to make them easily accessible. The consumer can then tear off the superfluous portion of the cardboard frame, thus leaving an open cone of the usual type well known, but which has the advantage that the reinforcing frame housed therein constitutes a means of protection against crushing of the contents. .
Due to the way in which the pleats of the outer casing are formed, the frame and therefore cigarettes can be pushed back into the casing after being removed from it, since there is no pan sail lant inside of it.
The packaging described above has the advantage that it can be manufactured inexpensively while having the rigidity of a box made entirely of cardboard or other similar material.
