Abstract

The invention relates to a packaging device for a block of butter. It consists of a cardboard sheet having sufficient rigidity and coated on its inside surface with a substance which is impermeable to the packaged product, the said sheet having cutouts, pre-folding lines and pre-cut lines, the cutouts and the pre-folding lines defining two main faces of the package (12, 14) coincident with the two main faces of the block and four side panels (16, 18, 20, 22) coincident with the four sides surfaces of the block, the portions of the said sheet defining at least three of the said side panels being provided with pre-cut lines (24, 26, 28) by means of which one of the said main faces of the package, called the top face, can be separated from at least three of the said side faces thus allowing the opening of the said package by lifting the said face and the closing of the said package after partial consumption of the said product.
