Kunstzahn.
Artificial tooth. Artificial teeth, which are made of at least three different dark colored materials for the purpose of reproducing a natural tooth as faithfully as possible, are known. In one of these known artificial teeth, a method is used which, according to experience, has to be described as highly uneconomical, and wherein the aesthetic success is not achieved to the desired extent. In the case of another, known artificial tooth, the layers are not completely colored, but a thin, transparent enamel layer is applied to a colorless base body.
The new artificial tooth made of at least three different dark colored ceramic masses is characterized according to the invention in that the darkest colored tooth body mass forms the tooth back and narrows symmetrically towards the cutting edge, so that the middle cutting part is the darkest part of the cutting edge .
The drawing illustrates two cutting teeth as an example of execution of the subject invention. 1, 2 and 3 are a front view, a central longitudinal section and a rear view of the one embodiment; Figures 4 and 5 are cross-sections along the lines x-x in Figure 1 and y-y in Figure 2; 6, 7 and 8 are figures of a second embodiment, analogous to FIGS. 1 and 2.
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 to 5, B denotes a thick, darkest colored tooth body layer, which is shaped and shaped in this way for the purpose of reproducing the natural incisor as much as possible. is stored that it stretches on the front surface of the tooth from the root only to about a third of the tooth length towards the cutting edge, from the front surface to the back of the tooth, this completely covers itself in an area of about two thirds tapered symmetrically down to the cutting edge and appears on the middle part of the bite edge.
C denotes a mass that is lighter in color than layer B, which is drawn down on the front surface of the tooth to the forward-reaching upper third of the darkest mass B towards the cutting edge.
The two corner surfaces of the tooth created by the symmetrical tapering of the tooth body mass B on the back of the tooth are formed by the lightest colored, transparent, ceramic mass D, which extends across the entire tooth width at the front and only at the corner parts of the tooth up to the back The cutting edge extends and stands out sharply from the adjacent central surface.
According to FIGS. 6 to 8, the storage of the masses B, C, D with respect to one another is the same as in the first example, only a back mass E, which is even darker than in the first example, covers the back of the tooth, but does not extend at any point to the front of the Tooth, but only provides the background for the shading of the three front layers B, C D. deposited on it
The term "cutting edge" should also be understood to mean the chewing surface of E back teeth or other teeth.
