Process for the preparation of a permanent water-soluble yellow sulfuric acid ester. The German patent specification 424981 and its additions protect a process for the preparation of sulfuric acid esters of the leuco compounds of vat dyes. It consists in allowing sulfuric acid hydride or such releasing agents to act on the leuco compounds in the presence of tertiary bases and converting the esters into suitable salts.
In example 5 of the patent mentioned, an ester of α-benzoylaminoanthraquinone is also described, which, however, gives only moderately true, slightly reddish-tinged yellow prints and has not found any technical use.
The present invention now relates to a process for the preparation of a permanent, yellow, water-soluble sulfuric acid ester, characterized in that the leuco compound of the a-anthraquinonyldiphenyltriazine carboxylic acid chloride obtained by condensation of diphenyl-1,3.5-triazinecarboxylic acid chloride with a-aminoanthraquinone is obtained. treated bonsäureamids in the presence of a tertiary base with sulfur trioxide or such ab donating agents.
Before the ester mentioned in Example 5 of the aforementioned patent, the new ester formed in very good yield is distinguished by the fact that it develops very clear, full greenish yellows of very good fastness to chlorine, cooking and light on textile fibers, developed in a suitable manner delivers in a way that has not been available before. This is all the more surprising as the starting product cannot be used as a vat dye, since its leuco compound does not attract the fiber because of its insolubility.
The dye used as the starting material is obtained in smooth yield and very pure form when the diphenyl-1. 3. 5-triazine monocarboxylic acid (Reports 23, page 2! 3 $ 3) in a suitable solvent, for example nitrobenzene or trichlorobenzene with thionyl chloride, converted into its chloride by heating and this reacts with α-aminoanthraquinone.
<I> Example: </I> In an esterification mixture made up of 4-00.0 parts by weight of pyridine and 650 parts by weight of methyl chlorosulfonate are added 484 parts by weight of the dry leuco compound of α-anthraquinonyldiphenyltriazine carboxamide of the formula

entered and heated in a stream of carbonic acid with stirring to <B> 50 '</B> C within 1j2 hour.
After one hour of heating, the mixture is allowed to cool a little and the mixture is poured into excess soda solution. The pyridine is blown off with steam; The ester can be deposited as the potassium or ammonium salt from the filtered yellow solution. The salts of the new ester form pure yellow crystalline flakes that are easily soluble in warm water. After adding a mineral acid and a mild oxidizing agent such as ferric chloride, a greenish yellow precipitate of the dye immediately separates from the deep yellow solution.
The ester is printed or dyed in a suitable manner on the vegetable or animal fibers and, with oxidizing agents, develops very clear greenish yellow colorations with very good fastness properties.
