Für die Verwendung zu Druckereizwecken besitzen sie die gleichen Vorteile wie die oben erwähnten Produkte. Neben den Oxyanthrachinonen und/oder deren oben erwähnten Reduktionsprodukten kann man Anthrachinon oder dessen Reduk tionsprodukt, das. Sauerstoff enthält und/oder sogenannte hydrotropische Stoffe, das heisst Verbindungen, welche die Löslichkeit von in Wasser nicht oder schwer löslichen Stoffen erhöhen (vergleiche Neuberg, Biochemische Zeitschrift, Bd. 145, 1924, Seite 415 ff ;
<I>Beispiel 1:</I> Aus 2:0 Gewichtsteilen 6.6'-Dichlor- 4.4'-dimethyl-bisthionaphthenindigo, 4 Ge wichtsteilen Glyzerin, 6 Gewichtsteilen 2- Oxyanthrachinon (25%ige Paste), 70 Ge wichtsteilen einer Verdickung folgender Zu sammensetzung:

Beispiel <I>6:

<I>Beispiel 8:</I> Ein Gemisch von

<I>Beispiel 10:</I> 50 gr des Farbstoffes der vermutlichen Formel

Beispiel <I>11:</I> A) 100 gr des in Schulz-Julius, 6.
Pulver, 6,00 " Wasser,
<B>2'0</B> " benzylsulfanilsaures Na trium enthält, miteinander vermischt.
Dye preparation suitable for textile dragons. The present invention is a suitable for textile printing dye preparation of such dyes that are printed in a reduced system.
The same is characterized by a content of at least one oxy derivative of anthracene, which contains oxy groups in the aromatic core and also oxygen in the meso Ctosition, and of at least one polyhydric water-soluble alcohol.
It has been found that oxyanthraquinones and their substitution products, as well as those reduction products of these bodies which still contain oxygen in the ms position, as well as mixtures of such compounds, have the ability to reduce the printability of dyes, which are in reduced Conditions are printed, i.e. hüpen or sulfur dyes, to favorably influence, i.e. both the strength of the prints that can be obtained,
as well as improving the speed of fixation. Another addition of anthraquinone itself or its oxygen-containing reduction products increases the effect of the first-mentioned products considerably.
The oxyanthraquinones, as well as the anthraquinone respectively. Reduction products of these bodies are preferably brought into fine form for their use. This can be done in a number of ways. For example, they can be finely ground or dissolved in sulfuric acid and precipitated again with water or, if they are soluble in alkali, they can be dissolved in alkalis, for example caustic soda, and precipitated again with mineral acid.
Finally, if desired, they can also be wholly or partially reduced in the presence of glycerol or other water-miscible organic solvents, and thus obtained in a non-settling form, a working method that offers technical advantages as milling and drying Save expenses and dissolving from sulfuric acid, as well as neutral washing and can manage with a single operation.
Mixing the oxyanthraquinones or their reduction products, the oxygen in. ' the ms position included, with the dyes can be done in different ways.
For example, the various components can be mixed dry or in the form of aqueous pastes, or the oxyanthraohinones can be added to the printing inks at any stage in their production.
The best results are generally achieved when the oxy-a.nthr.achinone aqueous pastes of dyes that contain glycerine or another water-soluble alcohol, such as glycol, thioglycol, thiodiglycerol, etc., are added. The pastes produced in this way are very stable, do not settle and do not dry out. They also do not form crusts and can still be used for printing purposes even after long storage.
In certain cases it is advantageous to work as follows: The dye is suspended in water and glycerol or another of the above-mentioned water-soluble alcohols is added to the suspension. The dye is then reduced in this suspension with the help of one of the reducing agents customary in vat dyeing in the presence of alkali, for example sodium hydroxide solution, potassium hydroxide solution or preferably a weaker base such as ammonia, sodium carbonate, potassium carbonate etc.
Alkali hydrosulfites, titanium trichloride, etc. can be used as reducing agents. An oxvanthraquinone or a reduction product of the same which still has oxygen in the ms position is then added to this mixture at any stage of its preparation. The dye pastes thus obtained, which contain the dye in reduced form (in the case of using weak bases such as ammonia, soda or potash as free leuco acid) do not settle, do not coagulate and do not form crusts.
For printing purposes, they have the same advantages as the products mentioned above. In addition to the oxyanthraquinones and / or their above-mentioned reduction products, anthraquinone or its reduction product containing oxygen and / or so-called hydrotropic substances, i.e. compounds which increase the solubility of substances that are insoluble or sparingly soluble in water (compare Neuberg, Biochemische Journal, Vol. 145, 1924, page 415 ff;
Neuberg, meeting reports of the Royal. prussia. Aka demie der Wissensch-, 1916), add. Suitable hydrotropic substances are, for example, urea, substituted ureas, thioureas, hexamethyltetramine, the potassium salt of ethyl or methyl ether sulfonic acid, the ammonium or alkali salts of isobutyric acid, phenylacetic acid, benzoic acid,
o-toluene carboxylic acid, salicylic acid, benzenesulfinic acids, 1,4-toluenesulfinic acid, benzenesulfinic acids, p-toluenesulfonic acid, naphthalene sulfonic acids, e.g.
B. naphthalene-1- or 2-sulfonic acid, the anilinesulfonic acids and their substitution products, such as dimethylmetanil or diethylmetanilic acid, dimethyl-2-toluidine-4-sulfonic acid, dimethyl-4-aminobenzoic acid, the Alkali salts of hydro-aromatic carbonic and sulfonic acids,
such as cyclohexane carboxylic acid, tetrahydronaphthalene-f-sulfonic acid and the like.
It should be noted that the choice of hydrotropic agents depends both on the nature of the dye to be printed and on the printing process to be used.
Instead of the pure oxyanthraquinones, mixtures of these can also be used, for example the technical mixture of 2. 6- and 2.7-dioxyanthraquinone, or substituted oxyanthraquinones, such as halogenated oxyanthraquinones, aminooxyanthraquinones, etc., use.
The above-described preparations can be processed by any method for use in printing.
For example, the anhydrous preparations can preferably be brought into an aqueous form in the presence of glycerine, ethylene glycol or a suitable, water-soluble alcohol, after which a thickener of any composition and further sodium hydroxide solution and sodium hydrosulfite are added and the mixture Heated to <B> 60 '</B> C until the dye, in the form of its leuco compound, has gone into solution.
After cooling, the mixture is stirred into sodium formaldehyde sulfoxylate and potassium carbonate.
This printing ink can be used to print cotton or other suitable textiles. The prints are dampened, for example in the Mather flat apparatus, and developed by treatment with suitable oxidizing agents such as atmospheric oxygen, potassium bichromate and acetic acid, etc., after which the prints are soaped off at the boil.
Another printing process with the product produced according to the invention is carried out as follows: The starting materials are blown with water and a thickener, glycerine, potassium carbonate and sodium formaldehyde sulfoxylate are added. The textiles are printed with these printing inks, which contain the dye in an unreduced state. The prints are now attenuated, with the reduction of the dye taking place, and treated further as described above.
According to this method, dye preparations which were obtained by reducing the dyes in the presence of water, glycerin and alkali, preferably in the presence of an alkali that is weaker than sodium hydroxide solution, such as ammonia, sodium and potassium carbonate, etc., can be added Printing inks are processed and used for printing purposes.
It should be said that in this case too the addition of a suitable reducing agent, such as sodium formaldehyde sulf- 3 oxylate, and an alkali to the printing ink is necessary or at least advantageous in order to achieve the best results.
A special, useful method of bringing ogyanthraquinone into a suitable distribution state is as follows: 400 grams of 2-oxyanthraquinone are rubbed with 80.0 grams of glycerine and 30,000 grams of water, at <B> 70 '</B> with 800 grams Ammonia water: 2i5% and 160 g hydrosulphite reduced, whereby a mixture of finely divided 2: oxyanthraquinone and its reduction products is formed.
The mixture is concentrated on the water bath until it contains about 215%, 2-oxyanthraquinone, respectively. contains its reduction products. <I> Example 1: </I> From 2: 0 parts by weight of 6.6'-dichloro-4.4'-dimethyl-bisthionaphthene indigo, 4 parts by weight of glycerol, 6 parts by weight of 2-oxyanthraquinone (25% paste), 70 parts by weight of a thickening of the following Composition:

Instead of oxyanthraquinone paste, its reduction products or mixtures thereof with 2-oxyanthraquinone, as obtained according to Example 1, or else 1-oxyanthraquinone and its reduction products can also be used.
Instead of the dye mentioned, it is also possible to use 6. 6'-diethoxy-2. 2'-bisthionaphthenindigo or that of naphthoxythinaphthenecarboxylic acid

Use the brown dye obtainable by oxidation with ferricyanide in a solution of alkaline soda, or the red-violet dye obtained from 2-methyl-4-chlorophenyl-thioglycolic acid by heating with strong sulfuric acid in the water bath.
In all cases, with improved fixation, a deeper shade is achieved than without the addition of the anthraquinone derivatives. <I> Example 2: </I> Are the dyes mentioned in Example 1 by the 2.7-dibromanthan thron, which can be produced by brominating anthanthrone, or by the dye Color-Index No. 1135, p. 271, 4.8-dianisoyl-diamino - 1 . 5-dioxyanthraquinone or the dye Color Index No. 1134, p.

Prints obtained with this printing paste according to Example 2 show a considerable increase in the fixation compared to printing which is achieved with the commercially available, only aqueous dye paste without the addition of anthraquinone derivatives and hydrotropic agents.
<I> Example 5: </I> 3.68.7 g of a 10; 85% paste of the dye Color-Index No. 113.5, page <B> 271 </B> (4. 8 - Dianisoyl- diamino-1,5-dioxyänthra- (thinon), 68.3 g anthraflavic acid, 5.86% paste, 80 g glycerine, 8.8%, 40 g urea are evaporated with stirring until the dye content is 10; 8 ; 5%.
The dye preparation is then passed through a fine sieve and then represents a non-settling paste of a desirably ointment-like consistency that does not settle; does not freeze and does not crust. A print produced in an analogous manner according to Example 4B shows increased intensity and a considerable improvement in the fixation compared to a print made from customary dye paste.
Similar results are obtained if, in this example, instead of 4.8- f) ianisoyl-diamino - 1. 5 - dioxyanthraquinone other dye pastes mentioned in Example 3 used. Example <I> 6:
If the dye mentioned in Example 6 is replaced by the dye according to Example 1 of American Patent No. 1667848 (German Patent No. 220581 and 239544) and it is evaporated until the dye content is <B> 18% </ B > is, you also get significantly fuller prints (approx. 40% increase in intensity) and better fixation than with prints that are kept with the usual dye paste without the addition of anthraflavic acid and urea.

When using this paste for printing purposes, after the usual additives have been incorporated, deeper prints and better fixation on wool, cotton or acetate silk are obtained than without the addition of anthracic lavic acid.
In addition to the anthraflavic acid, 10 grams of urea or another hydrotropic agent such as the sodium salt of dimethyl metanilic acid, dimethylsulfanilic acid, β-naphthalenesulfonic acid or mixtures of such substances can be added to the paste with good results.
Instead of the 10% dye paste, you can also use more highly concentrated pastes or water-containing press cakes of the dyes, which means that the evaporation becomes superfluous.
The dyes of Example 3 can also be used here with the same result. <I> Example 8: </I> A mixture of

In addition to the sodium salt of anthraflavic acid, 400 parts of urea or another hydrotropic substance, such as sodium benzenesulfonate, sodium dimethylsulfanil, sodium α- or β-naphthalenesulfonate, or tetrahydronaphthalene-ss-sulfonic acid can also be used Add sodium, which increases the beneficial properties of the paste for printing purposes.

The paste obtained in this way can be used for printing purposes according to Example 0.
If one uses 6. 6'-dichloro-4 in this example. 4'-dimethyl-bis-thionaphthene indigo and, as a hydrotropic agent, phthalic acid or phthalic anhydride, a paste that is equally suitable for printing purposes is obtained.
The preparations obtained according to the information in this example also have valuable properties when used in padding. <I> Example 10: </I> 50 gr of the dye of the presumed formula

are reduced together with 800 grams of water, 100 "glycerine, <B> 88%, </B> 88" ammonia (25%) at <B> 70 '</B> C with 20 "sodium hydrosulfite and with the addition of 5" Anthraflavic acid (finely ground) and 12.5 "sodium dimethylsulfanil evaporated to 250" that is a dye content of 20%.
This preparation gives a better black with better fixation than with the dye only suspended in water.
Instead of glycerine, other suitable, water-soluble, organic alcohols such as ethylene glycol can be used.
If you add rather small amounts (for example about 5-10%) of a yellow to orange vat dye to the above-mentioned dye, you get particularly beautiful black tones.
The anthraflavic acid can also be added before the reduction.
Example <I> 11: </I> A) 100 g of the dye described in Schulz-Julius, 6th Edition, No. 748, page 257, in the form of a 40% press cake and 10 g of anthraflavic acid (finely mixed grind) are added to 180 grams of raw glycerine. To this are added 50 grams of tetrahydronaphthalene-ss-sulfonic acid and, if desired, a small amount of fungicidal substances.
The paste is diluted with water to a dye content of <B> 16% </B> and passed through a fine-mesh sieve.
<I> B) </I> The printing paste is produced from the mixture obtained according to <I> A </I> in the following way: 8 g of the mixture according to A and 4 "glycerine are pasted with 29.5" hot water ., To this paste are added 4 "grape sugar, 2.5" calcined soda, 1 liter sodium benzylsulfanil and 4 "sodium formaldehyde sulfoxylate 1. 1.
The paste is heated to 60 for a quarter of an hour and 50 grams of a thickener containing 1000 grams of 130 grams of wheat starch, 52.0 "water, 350" tragacanth (65: 1000) are added.
This paste is used in the usual way for printing purposes. . <I> Example 12: </I> 40 g of the presscake-like dye from Example 11 are reduced with 10 "sodium hydrosulfite in the presence of 80" crude glycerine, 4 "anthraflavic acid and 50" aqueous ammonia, 2.5%, at 70.degree and 20 "tetrahydronaphthalene - ss - sulfonic acid sodium was added and the mixture was evaporated to a dye content of 19%.
The prints obtained with this paste according to FIG. 11B are more intensely colored and better fixed than prints obtained with customary aqueous pastes of the same dye.
In this example, anthraflavic acid can be replaced, for example, by 2-oxyanthraquinone and sodium tetrahydronaphthalene-, B-sulfonic acid, by other hydrotropic substances, for example by the sodium salts of dimethylmetanilic acid, dimethylsulfanilic acid, benzoic acid, salicylic acid , gresotinic acid etc. replace.
Good results are also obtained without the use of hydrotropic substances. Example <I> 13: </I> A) 40 grams of Indocarbon CL (powder) are placed in 80 "raw glycerine and 4" anthraflavic acid and 1.0 "sodium benzenesulfonate are added. The mixture is mixed with water to a dye content of 94% diluted and passed through a fine-mesh sieve.
B) For printing purposes, a color is produced from this preparation by adding 2.5 grams of the 24% preparation A, 6 "glycerine, 10" sodium hydroxide solution, 13 "calcined galium carbonate, 10" grape sugar, 3 "sodium formaldehyde sulfoxylate .40 "of a thickener that is converted into 1000 gr 1.30 gr wheat starch, 250" British gum. Powder, 6.00 "water,
<B> 2'0 </B> "contains sodium benzylsulfanil, mixed with one another. The printing ink obtained in this way gives a strong and well-fixed deep black on cotton.
If you use less dye, you get gray prints that fix better and give stronger and more even prints than if you use Indokarbon CL in the usual way. <I> Example 14: </I> 40 grams of Indokarbon CL (2.0% aqueous paste) are mixed with 1.6 "sodium hydrosulfite in the presence of 80" crude glycerine, 4 "anthraflavic acid and 100" aqueous 25% Ammonia reduced.
If desired, 20 grams of sodium benzenesulfonate can be added to the mixture and evaporated to a dye content of 20%.
The paste obtained in this way is stable and can be used for printing purposes after being worked up to form a printing paste, which can be done in the usual way. You keep it very strong on cotton, well. fixed and level gray to black tones.
