Display device for advertising, signal signs and other advertisements. Known neon signs or signals have the disadvantage, among other things, that the printed, painted or sprayed colors are not weather-resistant and often lose their effect after a relatively short time. Other neon signs, for example by means of fluorescent tubes, require electrical current of abnormally high voltage, the necessary equipment is expensive, tricky to operate and its effect is more at night than during the day. Validity.
The subject matter of the present invention is a display device for advertising, signal signs and other displays, with an enamel or enamel imitation sign, behind which a luminous glass plate is provided, the display formed by the opening, for example an inscription, characters, etc. which plate has an artificial light source behind it.
The whole device can therefore be used for both daylight and artificial lighting. In the accompanying drawings, some embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are shown, namely: Figure 1 is a first embodiment in perspective, Figure 2 is a cross section; Fig. 3 shows a second embodiment in cross section; FIGS. 4 to 3 show further exemplary embodiments in a view.
The exemplary embodiment shown in Fig. 1 and 2 has a housing made of metal or other material, which can be given any shape and size. On the front frame of the housing an enamel sign a is inserted, in which sign the advertisement or any other display, for example inscription or signal signs, is broken. This openwork shield can be composed of different parts, enameled in or on both sides, or treated using a similar process (imitation).
The enamelling can be monochrome or, regardless of the perforated areas, multicolored and, for example, represent characters or images, or both together. The openings (recesses), for example for the characters or signal signs, can be punched out or cut out, or such signs can also be cast. Immediately behind these openings d of the email.
Shield a is expediently inserted in the housing c a luminous glass, so-called selenium or diamond glass b, for example in such a way that the enamel plate and luminous glass come to lie directly on top of one another, but are interchangeable.
For the full effect of daylight and increasing the effectiveness of the display, here the neon sign, a mirror or a light reflecting surface f (for example polished Me tall) at an angle of 45 can also be attached behind the luminous glass, as shown in FIG so that the rays of daylight are thrown against the luminous glass pane and shine through the openings in the enamel sign. The lighting effect at night is achieved by artificial lighting, for example by the incandescent lamps e inside the housing c, whereby the desired effect can be achieved with or without a mirror reflex.
As indicated in FIGS. 4 to 8, the device can be used to advantage as a signpost, direction indicator, signals for cars, trams and trains, etc.
The main advantage of the device according to the invention, which, as mentioned, is mainly used for illuminated advertising, or to give off neon letters and signals, is that the letters, characters, etc. emitting the display are formed by opening, so that the display remains clearly visible at all times. The luminous glass, for example selenium luminous glass, can be easily attached behind the characters, etc., the luminous colors do not fade, both daylight and artificial light. can be used to the full, connection to normal electrical light cables is possible.
The use of the multicolored enamel sign enables any image or light sign effect to be achieved. of uniform, permanent effect day and night, as well as weather resistance.
