Self-winding watch update mechanism. The invention relates to a time-setting mechanism for a watch with automatic winding by an oscillating weight set in motion by the movements of the wearer of the watch and actuating the cog train of the winding mechanism, comprising a controlled toothed wheel. by a toothed crown fixed to a rotating element of the watch case.
However, until now, in watches of this kind, the mechanism was established such that this toothed crown was fixed exclusively to the glass bezel, which prevented the use of shaped glass cases, the bezel having to rotate.
The object of the present invention is to be able to obviate this drawback.
The accompanying drawing shows in section, and by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 represents the watch comprising a case the bezel of which is rotatable and serves to reset the time of the hands. FIG. 2 shows the watch provided with a case bearing a shaped glass and the rotating bottom of which is used for resetting the hands, the movements represented in the two figures being identical in terms of caliber and size.
The housing according to fig. 1 comprises a caseband 1, a caseback 2 and a bezel 3 bearing a round glass 4. The caseback and the bezel are adjusted to notch on the caseband. However, the bezel 3 can rotate on the caseband 1 and carries, force-adjusted, a toothed crown 5 meshing with the time-setting toothed wheel 6 wedged on the time-setting rod 7. This rotating rod 7 is mounted on the frame of the movement; it is clamped by at least one screw 8 and bears on a square, a sliding pinion 9. This sliding pinion forms part of the time-setting mechanism and controls the timer.
However, the rod 7 is arranged at substantially equal distances from the rear face and from the front face of the movement, which means that the wheel 6 must have a relatively large diameter so that it meshes with the ring gear 5.
Thanks to this feature, the watch movement shown in FIG. 1 can be housed without other in a titi case of the same size, but having a shaped glass and whose rotating bottom is used to control the time-setting wheel 6, as shown in FIG. 2. In this figure, the caseband 1, the caseback 2 'and the bezel 3' of the case are distinguished. The latter is adjusted to notch on the caseband 1 and carries a shaped glass 4 '.
The back 2 ′ is also adjusted to the notch, but it rotates on the caseband 1. It carries the toothed crown 5 ′ which meshes with the time-setting wheel 6, thanks to the latter's relatively large diameter.
