  Verfahren zur Herstellung einer     Cyclammoniumverbindung.       Es wurde gefunden, dass man eine       Cyclammoniumverbindung    aus dem durch       Einwirkung    von wenigstens einem     Mol    einer       Verbindung    der allgemeinen Formel

    in der X einen bei der Kondensation sich ab  spaltenden einwertigen Rest bedeutet, auf  1     Mol        1,3,3-Trimethyl-2-methylenindolin        in     Gegenwart von     Essigsäureanhydrid    erhal  tenen Kondensationsprodukt herstellen kann,

    wenn     man    dieses Kondensationsprodukt mit  einem     Mol        6-Chlor-N-methyl-a-methylendi-          hydrochinolin    umsetzt und hierauf die       Cyclammoniumverbindung    mit     Alkalien    aus  scheidet.  



  Diese bildet ein dunkel gefärbtes, in  Wasser schwer lösliches Pulver, das beim Be  handeln mit einer Säure in einen     Polymethin-          farbstoff    der Formel

    übergeht; dieser färbt tannierte Baumwolle  in blauen Tönen.    <I>Beispiel:</I>    242 Teile des nach dem Verfahren des  Patentes Nr.     138593    erhaltenen Kondensa  tionsproduktes in Form der     freien    Base und  191,5 Teile     6-Chlor-N-methyl-a-methylendi-          hydrochinolin    werden mit 1800 Teilen Essig  säureanhydrid unter Rühren auf 40   er  wärmt und 7 Stunden bei einer Temperatur  von 40-45   gehalten.

   Hierauf wird der  grösste Teil des     Essigsäureanhydrids    bei  schwachem Vakuum     abdestilliert,    der Rück  stand mit Wasser versetzt und die     Cyelam-          moniumverbindung    mit Alkalien gefällt.      Die     Cyclammoniumverbindung    bildet  sich auch in andern Medien, beispielsweise in  Alkohol.
