  <B>Zusatzpatent</B> zum     Hauptpatent    Nr. 203144.    Verfahren zur Herstellung eines     Polymethinfarbstoffes.       Gegenstand des vorliegenden Patentes     ist     ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines     Polyme-          thinfarbstoffes.    Das Verfahren ist dadurch  gekennzeichnet, dass man 1     Mol        N-Phenyl-2-          methylen-3-methylchinoxalin    mit 1     Mol    N  Methyl-2-phenylindol-3-aldehyd kondensiert,  Der erhaltene Farbstoff fällt in leicht lös  lichen Kristallen an und färbt tannierte  Baumwolle,

       Acetatseide    und andere in violet  ten Tönen von einer bemerkenswerten Licht  echtheit.  



  <I>Beispiel:</I>  1     Mol        o-Aminodiphenylamin    wird mit  1     Mol        Diacetyl    vorsichtig verrührt, bis die  vorübergehend entstandene Flüssigkeit zu  einem Kristallkuchen des     N-Phenyl-2-methy-          len-3-methylchinoxalin    erstarrt ist.

   Nach Zu  gabe der zirka zehnfachen Menge Essigsäure  anhydrid, 1     Mol        N-Methyl-2-phenylindol-3-          aldehyd    und 1     Mol    wasserfreiem Zinkchlorid  wird langsam erwärmt und einige     Stunden     bei 70       gerührt.    Man giesst die     violette    Lö-         sung    auf Wasser, salzt     nach-Zersetzung    des       Essigsäureanhydrids    mit     Natriumchlorid    aus  und erhält den Farbstoff nach Abpressen und  Trocknen in braunen, leicht löslichen Kristal  len, die tannierte Baumwolle,

       Acetatseide     und andere in violetten Tönen von einer       bemerkenswerten    Lichtechtheit anfärben.

PATENTANSPRUCH: Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Poly- methinfarbstoffes, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man 1 Mol N-Phenyl-2-methylen-3- methylchinoxalin mit 1 Mol N-Methyl-2- phenylindol-3-aldehyd kondensiert. Der erhaltene Farbstoff fällt in leicht lös lichen Kristallen an und färbt tannierte Baumwolle, Acetatseide und andere in vio letten Tönen von einer bemerkenswerten Lichtechtheit.
