Process for equalizing the outflow temperature of the liquid in electrically heated instantaneous water heaters using a controller and device for carrying out the process which is connected to your instantaneous water heater and which periodically changes the heat. In many companies, for example in dyeing works, chemical factories or silk spinning mills, hot water is constantly needed, the temperature of which must be at a prescribed level.
Electrically heated instantaneous water heaters or hot water storage tanks are often used to heat the water.
The water heaters are provided with a heat regulator that switches off the electrical heating current when a certain water temperature is reached and switches it on again when the temperature drops below the desired value. The disadvantage of this arrangement is that, due to its thermal inertia, the heat regulator only responds when the water temperature is relatively high above the setpoint value, so that a certain amount of excessively warm water flows out of the flow heater.
If the heating current is switched off, the controller will only respond again after the temperature of the water has fallen far below the permissible level. A flow heater alone therefore does not result in a uniform temperature of the outflowing water.
The same is the case with storing hot water. In such a system, since the warm water rises to the top or, which is the same thing, the cold water sinks near the bottom, the heating device and temperature controller must be arranged in the lower part of the storage tank so that the entire amount of water is heated sufficiently. As a result, the temperature controller only switches off the heating current when the desired water temperature has been reached at the point of the temperature controller, i.e. in the lower part of the storage tank.
At the moment of switching off, the water temperature is therefore not the same at the various points in the storage tank. Rather, an even temperature is only achieved slowly when the hot water rises, so that the final temperature is higher than the desired charging temperature. During the subsequent unloading of the hot water tank, the temperature drops due to the natural cooling so that the temperature of the water is not constant.
These disadvantages are avoided according to the method according to the invention that the liquid heated in the water heater is passed into a mixing container and mixed well in it, the water heater being connected to a controller that periodically changes the stimulus heat, so that the mixing container Liquid can be drawn from a constant temperature.
This reduces the temperature fluctuations between the liquid temperature of the mixing container when the heating current is switched off and on, and the outflow temperature is thus made more uniform. In one embodiment, the heat regulator is set according to the temperature desired in the mixing container. In general, the temperature set on the heat regulator will differ from the temperature measured in the instantaneous water heater. For better mixing of the water in the mixing tank, it can be conveniently equipped with a mixer.
