Description

  

      Verfahren    zur Darstellung einer Verbindung     finit    hydriertem Ringsystem.         Gegenstand    dieses Zusatzpatentes ist ein  Verfahren zur Darstellung einer Verbindung  von folgender Konstitution

         welehes    dadurch     gekennzeichnet    ist, dass man       Maleinsäureanhydrid    mit     J.4-Di-phenyl-tr@arrs-          trans-butadien    kondensiert. Die neue Ver  bindung soll zur Herstellung von     Farbstoffen,          pharmazeutischen    Produkten und Riechstoffen  verwendet werden.  



  <I>Beispiel:</I>  5 Gewichtsteile     1.4-Diphenyl-trans-tr-arrs-          butadien    und 2.4 Gewichtsteile Maleinsäure-         anhydrid    werden vorsichtig zusammenge  schmolzen. Dabei tritt unter schwachem       Aufsieden    und völliger     Entfärbung    der orange  gefärbten Reaktionsmasse Umsetzung ein.  Beim Abkühlen erstarrt die Schmelze zu  einer kompakten, baum gefärbten Kristall  masse.  



  Zur völligen Reinigung wird das Produkt  aus Benzol, worin es allerdings auch in der  Siedehitze nur mässig löslich ist, umkristal  lisiert und dabei in rein weissen, in ihrem  Habitus an     Naphtalin    erinnernden Blättchen  vom     Schmelzpunkt    207   erhalten.  



  Das so erhaltene     3.6-.Diphenyl-04-tetr#a-          hydro-eis-o-phtalsäureanhydrid    -ist in den ge  bräuchlichen organischen Lösungsmitteln auch  in der Wärme nur wenig löslich, verhältnis  mässig leicht hingegen in warmen Alkalien.       Permanganat-Soda    wird sofort reduziert,  Brom in Chloroform wirkt dagegen in der  Kälte nur allmählich ein.

  The 3.6-diphenyl-04-tetr # a-hydro-ice-o-phthalic anhydride obtained in this way is only sparingly soluble in the common organic solvents, even when heated, but relatively easily soluble in warm alkalis. Permanganate soda is reduced immediately, while bromine in chloroform only works gradually in the cold.

Das so Erhaltene 3.6 Diphenyl-A'-tetrahydro-cis-o-phtalsäureanhy drid ist in den gebräuchlichen Lösungsmitteln wenig löslich, leichtlöslich dagegen in Al- kalien und schmilzt bei 207 .
