Verfahren zur Darstellung einer Verbindung mit hydriertem Ringsystem. Gegenstand dieses Zusatzpatentes ist ein Verfahren zur Darstellung einer Verbindung von folgender Konstitution

welches dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, dass man illaleinsäureanhydrid mit Furan kondensiert. Die neue Verbindung soll zur Herstellung von Farbstoffen, pharmazeutischen Produkten und Riechstoffen verwendet werden.
<I>Beispiel:</I> Wird Maleinsäureanhydrid, in Äther sus pendiert, mit der für 1 Mol. berechneten Menge Furan versetzt, so tritt unter schwacher Erwärmung allmählich Reaktion ein. Nach mehreren Stunden ist diese beendet und das Reaktionsprodukt hat sich dann in harten Kristallen in vorzüglicher Ausbeute abgeschieden.
Der Schmelzpunkt der durch Umkristallisation aus Essigester gereinigten -- aus molaren Mengen der Ausgangsstoffe aufgebauten - Verbindung liegt bei 125 , unter Aufschäumen.
