Tools for removing damaged contact pins on sets of springs, e.g. B. for relays. The invention relates to a tool for removing contact pins from leaf springs on sets of springs, for example for relays, in order to enable a renewal of a defective con tact without replacing the whole contact set or the contact springs having the damaged contacts.
According to the invention, the tool consists of punch pliers, the jaws of which are so sharp-edged and flat that they can be inserted into the spring set without impermissible bending of adjacent springs.
In order to bring the punch of the pliers into a precise position to the contact point to be punched, the jaw of the pliers forming the die can be provided with a recess for receiving the rivet head of the contact pin to be removed, and the other jaw of the pliers with a punch to punch through the contact point of the contact spring. The invention is described in more detail using the exemplary embodiment shown in the drawing.
Fig. 1 shows the pliers in a side view. The two jaws 1 and 2 of the pliers are, as the drawing clearly shows, of flat design and sharp-edged at the front, so that the pliers, as can be seen from Fig. 2, comfortably and without tuition on the springs between the springs a contact spring set can be introduced. On the upper jaw 1 is the punch 3. Opposite the punch 3, a recess 4 is provided on the lower jaw 2, which serves to bring the punch 3 into a central position to the contact point of the spring to be perforated.
By pressing on the legs 5 of the pliers, the contact point is then perforated and the contact pin to be removed falls out of the recess 4 of the lower jaw 2. The resulting opening in the contact spring can now be used for fastening the supply of another contact pin by means of a suitable tool.
