Le fonctionnement du dispositif est le suivant: La circulation d'air étant établie à l'in térieur du canal 6, adapté, par exemple, à une installation pour le séchage des cheveux, une certaine pression est exercée sur la pa lette 4, ce qui maintient l'interrupteur 1 dans sa position d'enclenchement, et permet l'ali mentation du corps de chauffe 12; si la cir culation de l'air dans le canal 6 cesse ou diminue dans des proportions données, la palette 4 n'est plus maintenue par la pressiôn qu'elle supportait primitivement et retombe en faisant basculer l'interrupteur 1 qui vient alors se placer dans sa position de déclen chement;
Device for automatically triggering the heating circuit in an installation for blowing hot air. The object of the present invention is a device for automatically triggering the heating circuit in an installation for blowing hot air comprising a toggle switch placed in the heating circuit, a paddle located on the course of the heated air. by the heating body and connected to said switch, in such a way that it maintains the latter in its engaged position under the action of the pressure which it supports as a result of the movement of air,
the switch automatically returning to its tripping position when the air circulation - decreases, reducing the pressure on the paddle, so that the heating elements are protected from overheating dangerous.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, one embodiment of the subject of the invention; Fig. 1 is a schematic elevation view thereof; Fig. 2 showing partially and matically an alternative embodiment.
The device shown comprises a rocker switch 1 containing a certain quantity of mercury 2, and being able to pivot around the pivot 3; a pallet 4 fixed to the end of an arm actuating switch 1 is placed on the air path, inside a channel 6 (a metal tube, for example), an opening 7 allowing the passage of arm 5; the tube 1 has two projecting parts 8, 9, on each of which is fitted the end of one of the conductors 10 or 11 and is interposed in the electrical circuit of the heating bodies 12.
The operation of the device is as follows: The air circulation being established inside the channel 6, adapted, for example, to an installation for drying the hair, a certain pressure is exerted on the paddle 4, this which maintains switch 1 in its engaged position, and allows the heating body 12 to be supplied; if the air circulation in channel 6 ceases or decreases in given proportions, the pallet 4 is no longer maintained by the pressure it originally supported and falls back by flipping switch 1 which then comes into place in its release position;
since the heating bodies are no longer supplied with power, there is therefore no risk of dangerous overheating as a result of insufficient air.
The device can be set up so that it can operate for two-way air circulation; in this case (fig. 2), the rocker switch is mounted on the arm perpendicular to the axis 3 'and small pivots about the said axis 3', bringing with it the arm b and the pallet 4 ' attached to the end of the latter. Depending on the direction of the air flow inside the channel 6, the pallet can be placed on one side or the other of the arm b, either in 4 'or in 4 ", so as prevent, by means of the pressure which it supports as a result of the displacement of air, the switch from falling in its tripping position until the moment when the circulation of air in channel 6 ceases, or decreases in given proportions.
