Description

  

      Verfahren    zur Darstellung eines     Kondensationsproduktes    der     Pyrenehinonreihe.       Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung  ist ein Verfahren zur Darstellung von     Mono-          brom-4.5.8.9-diberizpyrenchinon-3.10    von  der folgenden Formel:

    welches darin besteht, dass man     p-Brom-          berrzopl-2-berizanthi#on    mit Kondensations  mitteln behandelt. Als Kondensationsmittel  wird vorzugsweise Aluminiumchlorid ver  wendet.

   Es ist vorteilhaft, dem Reaktions  gemisch ein geeignetes Verdünnungsmittel,  zum Beispiel     Alkalichlorid,    zuzusetzen und  die Reaktion unter Zuführen von     Sauerstoff     durchzuführen.         Beispiel:     100 Gewichtsteile     p-Brombenzoyl-2-ben-          zarrthron    (hellgelbe, verfilzte Nadeln aus       Xylol,    F. P. 245  ) werden mit 1200 Ge  wichtsteilen     Natrium-Aluminiumchlorid    unter  Zuleitung von Sauerstoff etwa 15 Stunden  bei     110--125'    gerührt. Beim Aufarbeiten  der Schmelze erhält man ein hellrotes Roh  produkt mit nahezu quantitativer Ausbeute.

    Aus     Nitrobenzol    kristallisiert das so erhaltene       Monobrom-4.    5 . 8 .     9-dibenzpyrenchinon-3    .10  in flachen roten Nadeln. Konzentrierte Schwe  felsäure löst in dicker Schicht rotbraun, in  dünner Schicht rosa, bei langsamem Ver  dünnen     rnit    Wasser wird die Farbe dieser  Lösung erst olivgrün, schliesslich fällt der  Farbstoff in gelbstickig roten Flocken aus.  Die     Küpe    des Farbstoffes ist rotorange,  Baumwolle wird aus ihr rotorange gefärbt.  Die Färbung oxydiert sich an der Luft über  violett nach rot.
