Ar-N2-CI <SEP> + <SEP> SbCls <SEP> <U>-T</U> <SEP> <B>Ar-NX1</B> <SEP> . <SEP> Sb0la
<tb> <B>Ar-NSCI</B> <SEP> . <SEP> SbCls <SEP> -f- <SEP> x <SEP> . <SEP> <B>C5H5N</B> <SEP> -> <SEP> Ar-SbC14.
Process for the preparation of m-chloro-p-aeetylamino-plienylstibic acid. It is known that diazo compounds can be reacted with antimony oxide to form aromatic stibic acids. This reaction takes place in an aqueous solution.
It has been found that the implementation of the diazo compound with the antimony compound can be carried out in pyridine or other tertiary bases. The reaction can advantageously be carried out, for example, by treating the known double compounds of the diazonium salts with antimony trichloride or with pyridine, if necessary with the supply of heat.
The course of the reaction "is probably mainly the following (Ar = aryl):
EMI0001.0013
Ar-N2-CI <SEP> + <SEP> SbCls <SEP> <U> -T </U> <SEP> <B> Ar-NX1 </B> <SEP>. <SEP> Sb0la
<tb> <B> Ar-NSCI </B> <SEP>. <SEP> SbCls <SEP> -f- <SEP> x <SEP>. <SEP> <B> C5H5N </B> <SEP> -> <SEP> Ar-SbC14. <SEP> X. <SEP> <B> C5HGN </B> <SEP> - + - <SEP> NE It was previously unknown to carry out diazo conversion in the means mentioned. The new method offers various considerable technical advantages for the production of stibic acid, especially space savings. The evolution of gas does not lead to the formation of an enormous foam volume like the aqueous solution.
The conversion can therefore be carried out in small vessels, while for example a 10 liter vessel is required for converting 28 grams of aniline into phenylstibic acid in an aqueous solution according to Schmidt, Annalen 421, page 188.
The yield is good.
The present invention now relates to a process for the preparation of the already known m-chloro-p-acetylaminophenylstibinic acid, characterized in that the diazo compound of the o-chloro-p-amine acetanilide, an antimony halide and a tertiary base, is allowed to act on one another . And the m-chloro-p-acetylaminophenylstibinic acid is separated by dilute mineral acid from the solution of the product, which can be obtained by precipitation with water, in dilute alkali.
The product is intended to be used as a remedy.
<I> Example: </I> 18.5 gr o-chloro-p-aminoacetanilide are dissolved and diazotized in 50 cm dilute hydrochloric acid with the addition of 100 gr ice. After diazotization, 50 grams of sodium chloride are added and this solution is stirred into a solution of 15 grams of antinionogyd in 60 cm hydrochloric acid with a specific gravity of 1.126, to which 30 cm of concentrated sodium sodium chloride solution has been added.
The double compound which precipitates out is, after isolation and drying, introduced into 130 cm pyridine in a 1/2 liter beaker. It soon occurs with self-heating, nitrogen development. The m-chloro-p-acetylaminophenylstibiric acid, which can be purified in the usual way, can be obtained from the pyridine solution, optionally after filtration, by precipitation with water, isolation of the precipitate formed and re-solving from dilute sodium hydroxide solution and sulfuric acid.
