Process for sintering, firing, roasting and smoldering materials and a furnace for carrying out this process. The invention relates to a method for sintering, firing, roasting and smoldering materials and a furnace for carrying out this method. The claimed method consists in the fact that the material to be fired is pushed out of a device for receiving the material to be fired so that the opening for feeding the material is always covered by the material being fed in, and furthermore that a flame acts on the material to be fired from above , and that the treated material rolls down from the treatment site.
In the drawing, several exemplary embodiments of ovens for performing the claimed method are shown.
1-3 show schematically three ver different embodiments of the furnace in vertical section; Fig. 4 shows another Ausführungsbei game in vertical section. In Figure 1, 1 is the combustion chamber; wel che a floor 2 with a middle He elevation 2 ', side walls 3 and a ceiling 4 has. In the bottom 2 there is a vertical channel 5 through which the material to be treated is fed to the furnace.
A pipe 6, which is located opposite the channel 5, is passed through the ceiling 4 of the furnace. This pipe 6 is used to supply the fuel. The pipe 6 is surrounded by a pipe 7 through which air is supplied.
The two pipes 8 and 9, which are connected to openings in the side walls 3, serve to extract the flue gases. The flaps 10 and 11, which are arranged on the side walls 3, are used to close ver openings through which the finished product after opening the flap pen 10 and 11 can be removed. In the embodiment of Fig. 2, 1-6 and 10 and 11 designate the same parts as in Fig. 1. The air is supplied through two pipes 12 and 13 which are arranged in the ceiling 4 of the furnace. The flue gases are discharged through the pipes 14 and 15, which are also arranged in the ceiling 4.
Within the combustion chamber 1, two annular containers 16, 17 are arranged, which are used to hold water, and which are connected to each other by vertical pipes 18, 19 in Ver. In this way, a steam boiler is created through which the heat from the combustion chamber can be used. The generated steam can flow out through the pipe 16 '.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 3, an annular channel 20 is arranged in the bottom 2, which is in communication with annular gaps 21. Part of the combustion air is fed to the combustion chamber through the annular channel and the columns. The remaining parts are provided with the same reference symbols as the corresponding parts in FIGS. 1 and 2.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 4, 1 is the combustion chamber, which has a Bo the 2, side walls 3 and a ceiling 4. 6 is a pipe for the supply of fuel, 7 is a pipe for the supply of air. Furthermore, adjustable openings 7 'are provided in the ceiling 4 for the supply of additional air.
In the side walls 3, a plurality of vent openings 22 are provided which open into an annular channel 23 which is in communication with a smoke gas channel 24. In the bottom 2 there is a channel 5 for the supply of the material to be treated. The material is conveyed into the combustion chamber by means of a piston 25, which piston is driven by a crank 26 and a shaft 27. The material is fed to the channel 5 by a screw conveyor 28; a funnel 29 serves to receive the goods which are fed to the screw conveyor 28. Below the bottom 2, a water container 30 is provided, which is used to cool the bottom and is provided with a water inlet 31 and a water drain 32.
In the combustion chamber, a Wasserbe container 33 is provided, which serves as a steam boiler. The container 33 has a feed line 34 for the feed water and a discharge line 35 for the generated steam.
The bottom 2 of the combustion chamber has a cylindrical elevation 2 'which protrudes from an inclined surface 36. At the lower end of the inclined surface 36 there is an outlet opening which is usually kept closed by a flap 37. The flap 37 is loaded by a weight 38.
Above the flap 37, a tube 39 is arranged through which air can be supplied. This is used to cool the finished product.
The operation of the furnace is as follows: In the embodiment according to FIG. 4, the material to be treated is fed through the channel 5 by means of the screw 28 and the cob 25 to the bottom of the hearth, where it forms a crater-shaped heap 40. As soon as a sufficiently high heap has formed, the furnace is put into action. The flame emerging from the tube 6 is directed towards the top of the heap 40.
Since new material is constantly being fed in through the channel 5, the material treated by the flame rolls downward over the 11Zantel surfaces of the elevation 21 and reaches the inclined surface 36 and in this way in front of the outlet flap 37. Damage to the masonry the flame cannot take place because the flame only ever hits heap 40. The heat generated in the combustion chamber 1 is used in the container 33 to generate water vapor. The air supplied through the pipe 39 is warmed up by the finished product and then serves to burn the fuel that is supplied through the pipe 6.
Instead of a flame, it is also possible to use an electric arc which is directed at the top of the pile 40. Part of the fuel can also be mixed with the material to be treated in a known manner.
Depending on the shape of the surface of the bottom of the comb, the material can be given the shape of a more or less high cone, a pyramid or the shape of a saddle. In some cases, it may be useful to arrange the channel through which the material to be treated is fed and the pipe through which the fuel is fed to each other at an angle. Naturally, several heaps of material and several heating devices (flames) can be provided in one chamber.
In order to enable the treated goods to slide better, the parts on which the goods are treated can be rotatable or movable in some other way.
