  Verfahren zur Herstellung einer chlorhaltigen     Aldehydverbindung.       Vorliegendes Patent bezieht sich auf ein  Verfahren zur Darstellung von     6-Äthoxy-3-          chlorthionaphthen-2-aldehyd,    dadurch gekenn  zeichnet, dass man     6-Äthoxythionaphthen,     eine     Formylverbindung    eines aromatischen  sekundären Amins und ein chlorhaltiges     sau-          resKondensationsmittel    aufeinander einwirken  lässt.  



  Der neue Körper kristallisiert aus Alko  hol in Form braungelblicher Nadeln vom  Schmelzpunkt etwa 166 . Er zeigt die für  Aldehyde charakteristischen Eigenschaften  und löst sich in Schwefelsäure mit     olivgel-          ber    Farbe. Der so gewonnene Aldehyd soll  als Zwischenprodukt zur Herstellung von       Farbstoffen,    pharmazeutischen Produkten und       Riechstoffen    Verwendung finden.  



  <I>Beispiel:</I>  Trägt man in ein Reaktionsgemisch von  13,5 kg     Formylmonomethylanilin    und 15,3    kg     Phosphoroxychlorid    9,4 kg     6-Äthoxythio-          naphthen    ein, wobei man die Reaktionstem  peratur nicht über 60  steigen lässt, so ge  langt man zu einem chlorhaltigen Al  dehyd, der in üblicher Weise isoliert wird.  



  Ersetzt man in diesem Beispiel das     For-          mylmonomethylanilin    durch die     Formylver-          bindungen    anderer sekundärer Amine, so ge  langt man in gleicher Weise zu dem be  schriebenen chlorhaltigen Aldehyd.
