Description
Verfahren zur Darstellung eines gelben Schwefelfarbstoffes. Es wurde gefunden, dass man beim Ver schmelzen von ä-Nitro- oder 3-Amino-4- acetyltoluidin mit zwei oder mehr Mol Benzidin und Schwefel zu gelben Schwefel farbstoffen gelangt, die sich durch klare, grünstickige Nuance und sehr gute Kochecht heit auszeichnen.
Gegenstand vorliegenden Patentes ist ein Verfahren zur Darstellung eines derartigen Farbstoffes, das dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, da.B man 1 Mol 3-Nitro-4-acetyltoluidin in Gegenwart von mindestens 2 Mol Benzidin mit Schwefel auf höhere Temperaturen, zweckmässig während mehreren Stunden, er hitzt. Der so als gelbes Pulver erhaltene Farbstoff färbt Baumwolle aus schwefel- natriumhaltigem Bade in gelbbraunen Tönen an, die beim Trocknen, Dämpfen oder Ab säuern in ein klares, grünstickiges Gelb übergehen.
<I>Beispiel:</I> 10 Gewichtsteile 3-Nitro-4-acetyltoluidin, 47,5 Gewichtsteile Benzidin und 112 Ge wichtsteile Schwefel werden mehrere Stun den von 1 & 0 bis 260 erhitzt. Die gemahlene Schmelze wird mit Schwefelnatrium gelöst, der Farbstoff mit Säuren ausgefällt, filtriert und getrocknet. Der so als gelbes Pulver er haltene Farbstoff färbt Baumwolle aus schwefelnatriumhaltigem Bade in gelbbrau nen Tönen an, die beim Trocknen, Dämpfen oder Absäuern in ein klares, grünstickiges Gelb übergehen.

The subject of the present patent is a process for the preparation of such a dye, which is characterized in that 1 mol of 3-nitro-4-acetyltoluidine is heated in the presence of at least 2 mol of benzidine with sulfur to higher temperatures, advantageously for several hours . The dye obtained in this way as a yellow powder stains cotton from a sulphurous sodium-containing bath in yellow-brown tones, which change to a clear, greenish yellow when dried, steamed or acidified.
<I> Example: </I> 10 parts by weight of 3-nitro-4-acetyltoluidine, 47.5 parts by weight of benzidine and 112 parts by weight of sulfur are heated from 1 & 0 to 260 for several hours. The ground melt is dissolved with sodium sulphide, the dye is precipitated with acids, filtered and dried. The dye obtained in this way as a yellow powder dyes cotton from a bath containing sodium sulphide in yellow-brown tones that turn into a clear, greenish yellow when dried, steamed or acidified.
