Magnetelectrics The invention relates to a small magneto-electric machine which is used in particular for bicycle lighting and in which the longitudinal axes of the magnet rods and the armature coils opposite their end faces are parallel to the axis of rotation, and relates to a device for adjusting the air gap between them. the magnetic bars and the armature coils.
In machines of this type, the air gap is in a plane perpendicular to the axis of rotation. It is thus the setting of the air gap, on the width of which the performance of the machine depends, as is well known, thereby making it possible that the magnet system or the armature can be adjusted in the longitudinal direction of the axis of rotation. In the case of mass production of these machines, it is now necessary that the air gap can be set from the outside after the shaft carrying the rotating part, i.e. the magnet rods or the armature, is installed with its two end bearings in the machine housing.
The setting must be able to be made in such a way that the most favorable width of the air gap, once set, is not affected by the vibrations to which the machine is exposed, especially on the bicycle. changes, as otherwise the machine would no longer work with the most favorable conditions.
According to the invention, this is achieved in that the shaft carrying the rotating part of the machine, for example the magnet system, is longitudinally displaceable and clamped between two adjustable abutments connected to the stationary part of the machine. By setting these abutments, the peripheral part can be approached or approached. be removed from him. This changes the width of the gap between the magnet system and the armature, so that you are able to set the width that is most favorable for the respective structural conditions of the machine.
During the setting, the shaft must be longitudinally displaceable, but after the setting has been made, the shaft must be held in the housing as immovably as possible so that the shaft does not carry out an undesired longitudinal displacement under the vibrations of the bike and the most favorable gap width once set changes. This is achieved by clamping the shaft between the two adjustable abutments. The shaft is then clamped between these abutments in such a way that it cannot carry out any undesired longitudinal displacements during operation.
The abutments can be arranged without difficulty, for example on the end walls of the housing, so that they can be easily adjusted from the outside. In particular, the adjustment device is suitable for mounting the shaft in ball bearings in which the balls are only mounted between the shoulders of the outer and inner races. The play that occurs when the air gap is set in these bearings is safely eliminated by setting the adjuster.
The adjustment of one abutment by hand can be eliminated by the fact that the longitudinally displaceable shaft is constantly pressed by a spring against an abutment connected to the stationary part of the machine.
In the drawing, several example embodiments of the machine according to the invention are shown.
Fig. 1 shows a longitudinal section through a bicycle lighting machine; Figure 2 is a cross-section on line A-B of Figure 1; FIG. 3 shows a further embodiment of the machine in longitudinal section, and FIG. 4 shows a modification of FIG. 3.
In the case of the Xia machine shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the housing 1 is provided with a neck 2 in which a ball bearing 3, 4, 5 is arranged to be longitudinally displaceable. The shaft 6, which is provided with a collar 7, against which the ball bearing can be pressed by means of a hollow screw 8 which is screwed into the front end of the neck 2, rests in this bearing. The banjo bolt lies against the outer race 4 of the ball bearing with the interposition of a thrust washer 9 and can be secured in its position by means of a lock nut 10.
The shaft 6 with a pin 11 is passed through the hollow screw 8, on which the friction wheel 12 sits, which is driven by a wheel of the bicycle.
At the other end, the shaft 6 is mounted with 'a pin 13 in a ball bearing 14, 15, 16 and rests with a collar 17 against the inner race 16. The ball bearing rests in the edge 18 of a cap 19, which the ball bearing after covered on the outside and has a shoulder 20 against which the outer race 14 rests. The cap 19 is seen on this edge 20 with an external thread and pan 21 of the housing 1 screwed into the internal thread of the bearing. The cap 19 can be secured against rotation in its position by means of a disc 28 provided with recesses 22, in which a fixed bolt 24 engages.
The yoke 25 of the magnet system, which carries the magnet rods 26, the longitudinal axes of which are directed parallel to the shaft 6 and the pole surfaces 27 of which lie in a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the shaft 6, is fastened to the shaft 6. The armature is fixed with its yoke 28 immovably in the housing 1 by means not shown. The cores 29 of the armature coils 30, whose longitudinal axes are also directed parallel to the axis of the cell 6, are fastened in the yoke.
The pole faces 31 of the armature are at a small distance from the pole faces 27 of the magnet system, so that the air gap 32 is formed, which is located in a plane perpendicular to the axis of the shaft 6.
After the machine has been assembled in the manner shown in the drawing, the most favorable width of the air gap 32 is set by screwing in or unscrewing the cap 19 longitudinally displacing the shaft 6. When the cap is screwed in, the pole faces 27 of the magnet system move away from the pole faces 31 of the armature, so that the gap width increases. The hollow screw 8 must be unscrewed from the neck 2 by the same amount.
After setting the gap width, the hollow screw 8 is tightened so that the shaft 6 is clamped between the two ZViderlager 19 and 8 in such a way that the machine has an easy gear, but the shaft cannot perform any longitudinal shifts.
If the width of the air gap 32 has to be reduced, the cap 19 is screwed slightly out of the bearing socket 21 and the banjo screw 8 is screwed into the neck 2 by the same amount, so that the shaft 6 performs a longitudinal displacement that reduces the air gap 32 has the consequence. After the setting has been made, care is then again taken to ensure that the shaft 6 is clamped between the cap 19 and the hollow screw 8 in such a way that it cannot move longitudinally. Be on it. the hollow screw 8 with the help of the lock nut 10 and the cap 19 by means of the .Scheibe 23 and the bolt 24 secured against rotation.
This type of clamping of the shaft 6 means that any play that occurs when the air gap 32 is set in the ball bearings 3, 4, 5 and 14, 15, 16 between the ball bearings and the shaft 6, as well as between the ball and the support members 8, 9 , 19 can arise, certainly avoided. There is therefore a guarantee that even under the vibrations to which the bicycle is exposed, the shaft 6 does not perform any longitudinal displacement and therefore the width of the air gap 32 maintains the most favorable value set.
The design is particularly simplified because the two adjustable abutment bearings 8 and 19 directly in the bearing pans 2 respectively. 21 of the housing 1 are screwed in. The formation of the abutment 8 as a hollow screw allows the implementation of the shaft 6 to the outside, where the pressure of the disk 8 transfers the pressure of the disk 8 to the ball bearings 3, 4, 5 in a favorable manner. The formation of the abutment 19 at the other end of the Ge housing 1 as a cap, the ball bearing 14, 15, 16 is well covered to the outside against Witterungsein flows and dust.
In the embodiment of the machine according to FIG. 3, a leaf spring 33 is set in place of the hollow screw 8 and the pressure plate 9, through which the shaft 6 is constantly pressed against the cap 19 ge.
When the cap 19 is screwed in, the pole faces 27 of the magnet system move away from the pole faces 31 of the armature, so that the gap width increases. Since the leaf spring 33 is tensed a little stronger. When unscrewing the cap 19, the shaft 6 is displaced under the action of the spring 33, the pole faces 27 of the magnet system approach the pole faces 31 of the armature, so the width of the gap 32 is reduced. However, the shaft 6 is always pressed against the stationary abutment 19 by the spring 33, which acts as an automatic adjusting member.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 4, the shaft consists of two parts 6a, 6b, where the part 6b in the ball bearings 3, 4, 5 and the part 6a, which carries the magnet system 25, 26, in the ball bearings 14, 15, 16 is stored. The part 6b engages with a pin 34 in the hollow end 35 of the part 6a so that this end can move longitudinally on the pin 34. A helical spring 38 is arranged between a collar 36 of part 6b and an end flange 37 of part 6a.
The ball bearing 3, 4, 6 is mounted in the neck 2 of the housing 1 in such a way that it cannot be broken. In this embodiment, too, the spring 38 prevents the shaft from shifting lengthways during operation because the spring presses against the inner race 5 of the ball bearing 3, 4, 5 and thus a game occurs this bearing verhin changed and on the other hand against the shaft part 6a, which in the same way as in the Ausfüh approximate shape according to FIG. 1 against the inner race 16 of the ball bearing 14, 15, 16 lays.
So while in the embodiment of FIG. 3, the shaft with its two bearings must be longitudinally displaceable, in the embodiment of FIG. 4 only one ball bearing is longitudinally displaceable, while the other ball bearing can be mounted immovably in the housing.
