Description

  

  Verfahren zur Herstellung von wasserfreiem und     ozydfreiem        Zinkeblorid.            lin.    Hauptpatent ist ein Verfahren zur  Herstellung von wasserfreiem und     oxydfreiem          Magnesiumchlorid    aus     magnesiumoxydhaltigen          Stoffen    einerseits und gasförmigen,     chlorid-          bildenden    Mitteln anderseits beschrieben, bei  welchem man eine Suspension des Oxydes  in einer Schmelze von     Magnesiumchlorid    in  einem beheizten     Rieselturm    einem aufsteigen  den Strom des gasförmigen,

       chloridbildenden     Mittels entgegen     berabfliessen    lässt.  



  Es wurde nun gefunden, dass man diese       Bereitungsart    auch auf die Herstellung von  wasserfreiem und     oxydfreiem        Zirrkchlorid    an  wenden kann. Demgemäss lässt man vor  liegend eine Suspension von     Zinkoxyd    in  geschmolzenem Zinkchlorid in einem beheiz  ten     Rieselturm    einem aufsteigenden Strom  des gasförmigen,     chloridbildenden    Mittels ent  gegen herabfliessen.  



  Die     Ausfübrung    des Verfahrens kann er  folgen, wie im Hauptpatent beschrieben. Wie    dort für den Fall des Chlormagnesiums be  schrieben, so können auch hier als Aus  gangsstoffe solche wasserhaltige Chlorver  bindungen des Zinks dienen, welche beim  Entwässern durch Erhitzung einer Zersetzung  in Oxyd und Salzsäure unterliegen. Auch  kann dem     zinkoxydhaltigen    Stoff Kohlenstoff  in einer reaktionsfähigen Form beigemengt  werden und als     chloridbildendes    Mittel Chlor  Verwendung finden.

PATENTANSPRUCH: Verfahren zur Herstellung von wasser freiem und oxydfreiem Zinkchlorid aus zink- oxydhaltigen Stoffen einerseits und gasför migen, chloridbildenden Mitteln anderseits, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man eine Sus pension von Zinkoxyd in geschmolzenem Zinkchlorid in einem beheizten Rieselturm einem aufsteigenden Strom des gasförmigen, chloridbildenden Mittels entgegen herabfliessen lässt.
